Next level orchid! I grew this complex Cattleya orchid from a seedling and this is the first ever bloom.

Specifically, this plant is *Potinara (Slc. Mem. Evelyn Paquette ‘SVO’ x Blc. Sun Spots ‘Tan Man Spots’)* from Sunset Valley Orchids. It is a hybrid between [the two plants pictured here.](https://barritaorchids.com/cdn/shop/files/SVO9957_09aef5d3-3753-44d4-b537-b115175a7863.jpg?v=1700692231&width=1280) When you buy a plant like this, you never know what you’re going to get. Although the child flower *should* look like come kind of cross between the two parents, you can get some pretty divergent results, especially when it comes to color. [Here is a sister of my plant](https://www.facebook.com/groups/261123433993449/posts/9144161589022878/) that someone else grew that came from the same seedpod. Very different color, almost white!

Growing hybrid orchids is like buying blind boxes and is a ton of fun. 🙂

Gorgeous. How long did it to take bloom from your initial seedling?

Well done. I am envious of your skills.
