Thanks for growing with us!

We have so many roses to plant! Earlier this year we were sent some bare root roses from Proven Winners. They have been hanging out in grow bags while we waited on the weather to be favorable enough to plant. In this video we take you through how we plant 25 of them! We are also adding our first rambling rose to the garden. Malvern Hills by David Austin Roses is going on our pergola so we have a very interesting planting plan to seamlessly incorporate it in to the patio area.

We are also trying out a new retractable hose reel by VEGO Watering. Follow the link below and use this code for a discount! GROWFORMEGARDENING10%OFF

  1. Can you please let me know where you got your root slayer shovel and the brand name. I have some pampas grass that needs reworked and it's way past the regular shovel stage. Do you have an online store? Love your channel. Thank you

  2. I cannot grow Proven Winners Oso Easy roses in my garden. I have tried 5 different varieties with the same results. After the roses are planted, they begin to go downhill. If I dig them up and plant them in pots, they rebound and do fine. I have two in pots right now, and I am calling it quits on the Oso Easy roses. This process has gone one for at least 4 years, so I have tried. I am disappointed that I cannot grow these pretty roses in my zone 8b garden. I live on the southeastern NC coast, and I think the soil has more salt than the PW roses can tolerate. I can grow knockout roses and drift roses without a problem, just not PW roses. I'll just enjoy yours on video.

  3. I love how each of you owns a part of the process. My husband and I design/buy together, he digs the holes🤣 team work! It all looks great!

  4. Love your channel! The edger shows currently not available on the gardeners supply website. Do you have any alternative recommendations? I love the one you use and I think the size and the t-handle are perfect for what I’m looking to purchase. Thanks!

  5. I appreciate you guys commenting on how difficult those augers can be to handle. Mine kicks my ass every time I use it, but I thought it was just me.

  6. Wow it will be beautiful when all the roses will bloom love it. Congratulations 10k subscribers growing fast more power to your channel. Thank you for sharing Eric and Christopher. Love from Washington State 👍👏🏻😊❤️🙏🌹

  7. Thanks to your feedback about mulching with compost I ordered 8 yards of it and I think it was a great decision. It's easy to work with, has not run off with rain, looks great and feeds the plants quicker! I have two neighbors that asked me about it and now are planning to order some for themselves. Thank you.

  8. you talk about compost instead of mulch and I like that Idea. How thick to you lay it and does it keep weeds down.

  9. I agree with the other comments. You both are amazing in your planning and attention to the garden. I am so looking forward to forward to seeing everything bloom as you both share your garden over the next several months. So enjoy watching your videos.🌸

  10. Hi Eric & Christopher! Happy to have found you “neighbors”. Watching from Syracuse. Last year was my first experience with bare root roses. Two Generous Gardners from DA and this year, I added Vanessa Bell to the party. Happy Gardening Season – We made it through winter!!🌹🌸🌼

  11. I love David Austin roses and I have the Malvern and it's doing well. I swear I've spent lots of $ this year on my garden. I keep thinking each year I won't spend as much as the previous but that doesn't happen. But really, you guys must have great jobs because if I had your money I'd throw mine away.
