They have also been sowing flowers and vegetables, including potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and lettuces.
Nursery manager Gaynor Carter said: “Gardening and growing are activities the children truly love.
“They enjoy planting seeds and bulbs, watching as flowers and vegetables begin to sprout, and learning about the wonders of the natural world through hands-on experiences.”
The children have also been making pictures using real flowers and bulbs as their inspiration.
Gaynor added: “Being outdoors is always a favourite, especially when it’s time to harvest.
“The children love tasting the fruits of their labour in the nursery or taking their home-grown produce home to share with their families.”
From exploring the garden with trowels and forks to watering plants and creating flower and bulb pictures, these springtime activities ensure that all children can take part in a fun, educational, and memorable gardening adventure.
