We bought this house in 2020 and I’ve been working on getting the front yard and backyard looking pristine. This part of my front yard continues to be hard as a rock during the heat of summer. I did the screwdriver test, and lo and behold, my suspicions were true… Concrete! My son had fun though regardless if no treasures were found.

Pain, but now you don’t have to think about it any more.

I’m convinced there’s a ton of gravel and concrete under the turf around my driveway and sidewalks too. I just don’t want to rip everything up to fix it like you did here lol

Ah, the ole shitty contractor special. Washout the truck in the lawn and then cover it up. OR use the broken off chunks of dried concrete as fill so you spend less on expensive fill.

Wow and you can’t even tell that you dug it up

I did the same thing last weekend. Wife’s garden has a nice concrete border now🤷

I have seen this junk in recent homes in the DFW metro. I have a few friends that I have helped out with homes from the same builder.

  7. Going to ignore the issue in my backyard and just pretend it’s roots from the giant oak tree we cut down 3 years ago.
