  1. the greatest cost of love is sorrow😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  2. Parenting adult children is such a different stage of life. I have three young adult married children and have two precious grandbabies now. I am only a few years past teenage years and I wished I had known how fast that time was going to be. Although I don't see my kids as often as I did, this stage is still very precious. I also grieve the younger years but watching your adult kids run after Jesus and do it with a spouse and now have children….man, that is a whole other level of special! They are doing the things we always prayed for. God is faithful! His love is steadfast and endures forever! Happy Mother's Day!!!💞💗💓

  3. Ooohhh the Kirby vacuum! I’ll never forget early in our marriage (read: no money)… when the Kirby vacuum girl came around about 8 months pregnant… of course I bought it – which came with a payment book like a car!!! … and if that wasn’t enough to push my poor husband over the edge – I let her convince me that she’d do me a favor and take away my old vacuum (which worked perfectly fine) “so I didn’t have to deal with it” (we had a 3 story house at the time and now I HEAVY vacuum to lug up and down those stairs)! Of course – my old one they hauled off worked way better than my “payment book” new one😂😂😂😩😩🤪! Good (not my best moments) memories!

  4. "What is it in you that thinks if you had control, the situation would be better for everyone" Ok Jess, don't attack me like that jeeez LOL. No really though that almost a daily thing I remind myself of like hey… your kid is a young adult now and it's their job to do all of this 'wrong' right now. You can't have control over everything they say or do and you can't have control over their choices and it wouldn't be better for anyone even if you could. It's their turn to run their lives, and once you get used to that you'll learn to be grateful for the lifted weight… or so I'm told LOL.

  5. Jess, you have such a way with words! ❤ I’m crying with you! Being a mother is something I always wanted to,be since a young girl playing with my baby dolls. I have been blessed with two wonderful sons. Happy Mother’s Day Jessie! Wishing you many blessings always! 💖💐💖💐💖💐

  6. I love looking at the expressions on Jeremiah's face as you talk. You can see him getting pulled in. I love watching your channel. Very calming.❤
    Happy mother's day.

  7. When I was working in the maternity ward for 30+ years I told Mommas to be kind to themselves when they went home with their newborns. Now with 3 adult children I learn from their good values in the world- it's wonderful to see where all of them have followed their gifts into relationship and careers.

  8. Never gifted with the blessing of motherhood, but I really felt your grief and joy in this. You are an amazing mother, teacher of all, and a beautiful woman! Thank you 😊 as always for sharing. Happy
    Mothers day!

  9. The grief of raising children. Boy that really hit. I totally understand your tears. I too feel the same way with my children who are 26-17 all still under my roof. But it doesn’t stop me from longing for the days when they were all clinging to my skirts. I am thankful to still have them all here with me. And honestly Jess in this economy and crazy world I don’t think any of them will be moving out for awhile and this includes 2 college graduates. This mother is so glad they are still in my home in spite of the messy kitchen and giant piles of shoes at my door.

  10. Happy Mother’s Day Jess! This was such a poignant interview, kudos to Miah with his thoughtful questions and your honesty in answering them. Well done my friends. Let me share something, seeing my children grow into amazing adults and who are now parenting and doing an amazing job at it leaves me feeling so proud to have provided them with a foundation of love and guidance to build their families on. Bless you.

  11. I remember telling my mom I had a headache and her response was, “you’re too little to have a headache.” Talk about messing my mind up because my head was hurting. I was dismissed. I agree with you to consider your children. The rooster looks like an “Oliver”. lol Kids knowing they are fiercely loved is the best security system ever!

  12. Wow Jess, your beautiful words wrecked me at the end as per usual. Happy Mother’s Day to you🤍

  13. Enjoyed listening to this so much while making dinner. I need to tell you that not only are you fully responsible for my Garden obsession, but you've played such a BIG Role in my faith & my walk with the Lord. & I completely agree it's easier raising babies knowing they're his kids before ours. You're doing such a great job! Such an Admirable Mother & pure blessing of an example to all us Mommas out here. Happy Mothers day Jess!

  14. This is the best. I love how your amazing husband truly listens and enjoys your process and is supportive. You have no idea how much you bless others and me by being your genuine self. You two are beautiful and love your growth. You are a force and he is your grounding rod. Beautiful love!!

  15. When we dropped our 1st born son off at college i wasn't prepared for the feelings that came with it. We were so proud and happy of how he had grown up. Such a exciting and happy time, then why am i sobbing for 2hrs on the way home. The grief was so overwhelming and i wasn't prepared.

  16. Oh Jess, I thought I was the only Mother who miss those younger children now that they are grown. I'll never have them crawl up on my lap again.
Thank you for being so authentic.

  17. Today I miss my son that made me a mother. I had him 36 years. Yes I have 3 living children and today my son in law said I had 3 children no I have 4 just one is no longer with us. Today when I can feel he is missing, I have to go to my memories. Yes you will not have that little boy in the Mario hat but you have a young man that will go on to do other things and maybe some day a son of his own that will wear a Mario hat … it is those moments that will send you back to those precious moments in your memories. Enjoy every moment.

  18. Welp, you cried, I cried….did we all cry? I am about 10 years ahead of you with my baby being 27 but all of this was completely relatable. Not sure how many times I shook my head yes while listening to your answers, but it was a great many times.

  19. “If nothing else a mother needs something for herself”
Listening to this while doing school work and it brought tears to my eyes. Love my baby but how true this is.

  20. Every child deserves a Mom and Dad like the two of you. Your future son and daughters-in-law will be grateful for you. Love you all.

  21. Happy Mother's Day Jess, 💐💐 I wish they were real flowers, but you grow the real deal.
The love that God has put in you for your children and raising them, line upon line, precept upon precept. It obvious in you both. You express it so well by the Holy Spirit. Look up Lana Vawser in Australia. She is a prophetess. I think you would like her. Words she receives from the Lord. Love to you you've done a wonderful job with your boys. Get busy and get some really good questions for Miah on Father's Day. Turn about is fair play.
