A Utah lawn owner asked how to keep his perfect carpet from being infested by dandelions from his neighbor’s neglected lawn. I thought my suggestion was appropriate. Lawns aren’t for everyone or everywhere.

Utah is the second driest state in the US.

Take your loss and move on. I got suddenly banned from USPS. I responded to the ban email and pointed out I did not break any of the listed rules. I asked if they suddenly started making rules up . Then the MOD that banned me responded I was blocked for 28 days from contacting the MODS…. I then realized the sub/reddit was nothing but an echo chamber gloryhole for current and former USPS employees.

It’s important to remember that the attack on native plants isn’t just passive ignorance but a deliberate trolling when people whose livelihoods depend on the type of landscaping tools and skills they possess.

I really think education is the necessary path but here we are struggling to even be a part of the dialogue.

Never feels good to have someone try to crush your hope but we keep at it for a chance at survival for all of life on earth.

  6. I got banned when I mentioned leaving leaf piles for fireflies since they’re becoming endangered. Anything that threatens their perfectly manicured lawns is apparently super offensive.

  7. Oh wow that subreddit is fucking depressing to look at.

Jesus Horatio Christ, I do not miss Northern UT one little bit.

I was banned for suggesting to smother your entire lawn and turn it into a prairie.

Wow you didn’t even say anything directly to the OP

I think your suggestion was a good one. It’s weird how some people just don’t even want information out there or to be informed

If you haven’t been banned from r/lawncare, you haven’t cashed in a token you should cash in yet. If even one user clicked that link and found it helpful, you just logged a win 💪

I laughed in Nevadan, bc you’re right.

Pussies. The slightest bit of criticism or new information or slight confrontation.

If Reddit decides to recommend a post from that sub I have no problem giving them my opinion.

  15. Brigading actually is ok if it’s politically motivated. Haven’t you been on the front page?

Thanks for posting this! I’m in Utah and looks like my city participates in this! It’ll be super useful for us.
