My neighbourhood has a huge dandelions invasion. I tried replacing the sods twice in 4 years and decided to do this.

Just some beautiful grass, some Daisys, a dwarf lilac tree, roses and carnations around the tree. I hope when this plants mature they will look good.

    Beautiful start!

Please please please consider putting in a few plants that are native to your area. Even a few plants can help more than you’d imagine. If all residential landscaping included a few native plants the world could be a much happier and healthier place for us all 💪🥰

  2. Now , to start converting to lots of native plants 🙂 the local insects and birds will thank you.

Rock Glue is your friend…so are apps of pre emergent herbicide.

FYI dandelions pop up in lawns that need to be aerated (their root systems will aerate soil) and/or are deficient in calcium and magnesium (which they put back into the soil). You can aerate and treat with calcium/magnesium to drastically reduce dandelions– or just let dandelions do the work for you to keep your soil healthy.

Looks great! Will look better once things start growing!
