Rochester, N.Y. — Flower City Days returns to the Public Market on Sunday, offering a horticultural extravaganza with hundreds of vendors.

Attendees can expect to find gardening essentials, including perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, and potted plants.

The event will also feature a wide assortment of succulents, herbs, vegetables, and unique outdoor art, decorations, and accessories.

Master Gardeners from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County will be present to provide expert gardening advice for both novice and veteran gardeners.

Traditional Market vendors will also be available in the B shed, alongside small businesses throughout the Market District.

A give-and-take container exchange will be hosted outside the Market Office, where gardeners can donate or retrieve gently used flower or plant pots, flats, and other containers.

Additionally, the City of Rochester has unveiled the inaugural feature artist for the Flower City Days at the Market poster.

This year, the Friends of the Public Market will spotlight the work of Julian Plum, an illustrator and author based in the Finger Lakes.

Plum’s work is known for warm, richly detailed gouache paintings of flora, fauna, and fungi, inspired by a deep love of nature.

The new Flower City Days at the Market posters will be available for purchase at Market Shed A for $5 each.
