I have been bringing it outside every morning and then inside when is starts to cool down so it gets enough sun, I haven’t watered it yet, and the top layer of soil feels pretty dry but there’s still some moisture underneath. It’s possible my mum may have watered it. She has killed many of her plants by over watering and I suspect this may be the issue again.

This is a fuchsia, which do best in bright indirect/filtered light or partial shade. Plants get stressed if they’re moved frequently, they prefer to stay in one spot where they can acclimate to their surroundings. Fuchsia is also more of an outdoor plant than a house plant.

If you can find a nice spot for it outside that’s not in direct sun, and keep the soil evenly moist it would be happier

Water it. Hanging plants dry out quickly, especially if you haven’t watered it in the last week.

Oh she thirsty. And probably stressed at being moved. If she’s outdoors she’ll need more water than you think. And also to stay out there because change in environment isn’t healthy – they can’t adapt that quickly, they’ve evolved to stay still! Fuschia like this are fine outside. She looks very luscious and will probably perk up well with a good drink and some peace ❤️

When plants have sun, like us, they get thirsty. If you keep it there, water everyday and light fertilizer every week and a half

Is it hot out? Fuschia has a tendency to droop in the heat, it annoys the hell out of me at work when I go to water a droopy fuschia and find out it’s soaking wet already and is just being dramatic about the heat

If it’s dry, water it, if its not then don’t. and move it to a shadier spot!! It should not be in direct sun like that

I have found mine likes to be watered daily.

Fuschia doesn’t love direct sun in most places. Also doesn’t want to be moved around (no plant does). And as someone else said, hanging plants dry out quickly and may need to be watered deeply a few times a week.

Take it out of the direct sun! Fuschias can’t tolerate it at all. They do love shade and partial shade.

It might be having shock from the change. Nice it less… if you’re taking it in because of cooler temps place it in a sunny windy and keep it indoors till temps are warm enough to keep it outdoors. If you’re taking don’t have a sunny window get a grow bulb that screws into a lamp to give it more light indoors.

Water a basket every day. Especially if windy and or dry and or sunny

Water and shade! They hate full sun and getting too dry

Way to much sun? Put her in some shade asap

This is possibly pedantic, but this specific plant is called a shadow dancer. I know it’s part of the fuchsia family, but shadow dancers have been fairly popular in my area for a while. Beautiful plants.

They want to be watered regularly – shadow dancers in particular can’t stand being underwatered. Do not let the soil get dry, you will lose the plant. Keep the soil moist, but not sopping wet or in standing water.

Shadow dancers hate direct light. They prefer shadey corners.

A happy shadow dancer will attract the attention of bees and hummingbirds. And they’ll grow like a weed.

That girl is dying of thirst

My mom always thought me hanging plants need to be watered at least once a day, early morning or late evening. On really hot days it should be twice a day

Stress, top much direct sun. Baby girl needs a break and a little drink
