Raised beds are like potato chips. You can't stop after just one😂🤣😅
I started with you in 2021 with garden bags we got at Amazon. Then I got my first bed. Now the entire inside stockade fence has a garden bed. It's amazing and we can't wait to harvest. I even have about 8 large barrel containers for potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and flowers. They are great. Thank you for all your help. Keep them coming
Thank you Brian.
Great tips for the garden.
Thanks for all the great ideas!
Someone help me find the links please!
Who said hes got small area its huge
My current house ended up being a lot more shady than i thought it would be. So i figured id only have a small garden. But what actually ended up happening is my disire for gardening forced me to get a lot more creative ways of growing things.
I plant densely. And i do a lot of experiments over what plants like for sun exposure. So i grow crops in shadey spots if i get enough food from them with reduced sun. And only plant sun loving plants in my full sun areas.
Thanks
I’ve been growing lemon basil for teas and I haven’t had tomato horn worms in years.
Those tiered containers are plastic ? Plastic leaches into the dirt and plants uptake it ? There is too much plastic in the environment as it is. And ALL plastic leaches into our foods , not just the known bad ones. What could we use to put between the plastic and the dirt that will keep the plastic from the roots of the plants and from the dirt ?
I just ordered my first Greenstalk planter. I went for the 5 tiered one of course 👍🏻 looking forward to its arrival 😎 thank you for the discount Brian 💪🏻
Don't forget EarthBoxes! I have 13 of them and I'll never go back. You'll use 60% less water. I love them!
You're awesome, Brian!
I did rain gutters for spinach and lettuce
What kind of Strawberries are you using
I had 2 greenstalk planters but finally gave them up. I live in Northern Colorado, not that windy, but wind kept blowing them over.. they were very heavy to set up, tried setting them against wooden fence but that didn’t help. I will go with raised planters. 80 years old don’t have to weed or bend over (LOL).
Do you can your veggies?
I have a 8’x12 deck and have potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, blackberries, a peach tree , and cucumbers lol making good use of my small space
Have you ever looked into Japanese shosui ban charred wood finishes or foamed concrete? For forever, cheap containers. I'm closing on a property in Tyler on Thurs. Can't wait to get going. I live in a ratty apt in the hood.
