A Housing Services officer from North Ayrshire Council has applied to the local authority for permission to demolish the shed at 24-30 Burns Street.

The planning application states that there are wider plans for improvements to the communal garden at the property.

It reads: “These structures are dilapidated and are no longer within use.

“There are wider proposals to carry out improvements to the garden area including splitting this off between properties rather than having a communal garden.”

It is proposed that the stone wall at the rear of the outbuilding will be retained following demolition.

Future plans for the garden include removing paving, drying areas and trees, and creating new fences to split the garden and also create a bin storage area.

The full application can be viewed on North Ayrshire Council’s planning portal using reference 25/00187/CAC.
