I have had this plant for about 2 years…never knowing a dang thing about what it was or how to take care of it. I repotted it about 2 months ago, but I want to upgrade the soil now….and it seems like the root system is above the soil right now….?
Can someone please help my calathea ignorant self? Also….what kind of lighting do you guys recommend? She is in between north, east, and south facing windows, pretty much right in the middle.

Yeah I would say it’s a good time to change the soil it does look like it holds a lot of moisture you want it to be in a chunky mix( I do 1 part perlite, orchid bark, soil) I would check the roots to see if it needs another pot but from what I see it might be good in that pot?????? Calatheas do really well in north and south facing windows from my experience just because it won’t get too much direct light which can cause burning! Hope this helps!! 🩷🩷
