Kennewick, Wash — Since , Mothers’ Day is this weekend, Washington State University extension Master Gardner program had their plant sale today .

There’s various of unique plants that you might not find in other stores and everything is locally grown.

You’ll see peppers from different spices, tomatoes, house succulents and flower arraignments.

Leaders in the program mentioned that even if you are a first-time plant owner, there is staff educating people about how to care for them.

They have also partnered up with multiple vendors such as Heritage Gardens , the Noxious Weed Control Board, and more that help teach people about irrigation, soil, and gardening.

” A lot of this was us learning how to grow and learning certain things like we struggled growing rosemary from seed this year, so we’re going to work on learning and how to do that a little bit better for next year. And so a lot of it’s learning for us, it’s learning from the public ” said Stacy Abney , Master Garden Volunteer.

All of the proceeds will be going into the WSU Master Gardner program.

If you missed the opportunity to go today, they will be bringing it back tomorrow from 9a.m to 2p.m.
