what has happened to my echeveria ? I’ve been away & came home to this.. I don’t think it’s fungal.. the surrounding air is dry and it sits in front of a small fan..
That is powdery mildew! Quarantine this succulent and any others that have this ASAP!! If you have other succulents I would spray all with isopropyl alcohol just for good measure. This succulent and any others cleared affected I would treat immediately with a fungal spray. Your soil from what I can see looks too organic so it may be retaining too much water which caused PM. It may also not get enough light. You’ll want to repot into a gritty mix. Gritty mix will help in prevention of fungal issues in the future. Good luck!

This is bad. It spreads fast. Spray copper fungicide on all the plants, even those that still look fine. And also all the pots, walls, stands etc. You don’t want pm to ruin your collection.

Spray rubbing alcohol on it. It took a good beating.

Oh no, this is my nightmare scenario.
Been battling powdery mildew for about 6 months, it went through most of my collection, so far I’ve cleared it from all but one pot of graptos, which are banished to the naughty corner until further notice. It’s been a hard battle, best of luck to you.

Oh man I feel dumb. My initial thought was it’s so pretty, what is it? Reading comments and I took a nosedive of emotions. My excuse is that I was browsing Reddit while taking a break during my workout break. But for real OP what kind of echeveria is this?

baking soda and mild soap mixture in water bottle and spray the heck out of it. You can also purchase an ozone machine for cheap on amazon and run it for an hour or so when no one is home. It will kill the PM spores in the air of that room. I beat my powdery mildew issue by doing this. I ordered a small bag of Potassium Bicarbonate off Amazon, which is the active ingredient in baking soda & Dr. Bonners unscented soap. it takes just a little of both and add to spray btl of water and go at it. I sprayed every few days and ran my ozone machine a few times when I was gone for work. You will read that the ozone could possibly harm plants but it didn’t affect mine at all, I also didn’t run it for more than an hour at a time. There should be no humans or pets around while using the ozone machine, but I just stuffed a towel under that bedroom door bc I do have a cat and a dog, and kept them at the front of my house. wish you the best.

As others have said, this is powdery mildew, and a very bad case of it. Powdery mildew is a harmful fungus that spreads extremely easily and quickly.
The most important thing is to quarantine any and all affected plants, preferably in a completely separate room from any others you may have.
As for treatment, copper fungicide is the most commonly recommended treatment. However, more and more I’ve been seeing people say they’ve had success treating PM with sulfur, so I’d honestly recommend starting with that.

You can read more about PM and what to do when you find it in your collection, including treatment options, in [this write up](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/comments/1045xbi/powdery_mildew_psa/) over on r/succulents.
