LA CROSSE (WKBT) — GROW’s annual plant sale returned to Western Technical College this week, drawing a crowd of shoppers and supporters eager to help local youth connect with gardening and healthy food.

The event, held inside Western’s greenhouse, raised funds for GROW’s youth garden programs across the Coulee Region.

Shoppers browsed a wide selection of vegetables, flowers and succulents, with proceeds going directly to hands-on education opportunities for area children.

“We serve the Coulee Region, helping youth connect with their food through hands-on garden education,” said Bonnie Martin, director of communication and outreach for GROW. “Our goal is to introduce kids to how their food grows and help them be a part of that seed-to-table experience.”

In addition to plants for sale, the event offered hands-on activities and snacks, making it a family-friendly celebration of spring and community learning.

GROW’s programs aim to inspire the next generation to understand and appreciate where their food comes from, while encouraging healthy habits and a love of gardening.
