  1. I’m so excited you are doing your tea garden and I am growing stuff to start my tea garden also! I saw a Baker Creek video that had different types of herbs for teas and decided to pick up several varieties of agastache. I have no idea what I’ve gotten into. Is it even good?

  2. How do you keep your raspberries managed. Love seeing you more often these days btw. It's encouragement to get more done out there. Fun, my grandson, 6, lives in the city – asked me when we are buying the eggs to plant tomatoes.. Remarkable since he has not done planting since last spring – 1 year ago!

  3. Who doesn't melt at Jess and Miah working together. Not a question, but a statement. Makes me happy.

  4. You talking about your first grduating from high school made me so emotional and my first is only 4 and if graduating from preK next week! I am going to soak up every moment!

  5. I completely understand! My oldest is finishing his freshman year and one of my middle boys is going into jr high. I stare at my 3 month old and just cant wrap my head around his brothers being that big!

  6. Just ordered my first greenstalk with roots10 the other day with the mothers day sale! Just a tiny 3 tier for my apartment balcony! I'm excited!!!

  7. It’s been raining nonstop here in Northern NY. My husband dug up all my old beds and we are replacing them with the medal raised beds. Was hoping to get everything set and done this weekend. May 17th is our last frost date. Where everything was going to go is now flooded so now we are moving everything to a different location. Thank goodness the medal beds are empty and movable so we can come up with a new plan before filling the beds with soil.

  8. Please, please, PLEASE! Totally think you need a short with the tutu dance and nutcracker music! If you weren’t an enabler, my garden would never exist. Blessed that you enable me to take control of my family’s food!

  9. Ok Jess watching you with my wife enjoying seeing all the steps however I would like to see the beds being filled by Jackson
I’m meaning with 20 inch between them how are you getting the compose in them
    Thank you

  10. Can you talk about the weed barrier you use and where you get it? We struggle to keep up with weeds in our 60' x 70' in ground garden..❤❤❤

  11. Seeing the gates and fences makes me feel nostalgic for the arbor rose arch and sunflower gate from the Arkansas garden. ❤

  12. Awww, my baby is graduating and tuning 18 in the same week also! His Senior parade is on Friday. Good luck to Asher in all his upcoming life adventures!

  13. Jess- wait til the boys are 26 and are halfway across the country. My son drives a truck and is currently making his way back from Colorado- to Alabama for my Mother’s Day.
I pray Psalm 91 over him daily!

  14. LOL. Please tell Mia I did not think it looked like he was Ballerina dancing. I chuckled when you both were moving the garden boxes like that. It made me think of my kids making boxes into race cars when they were little then racing them. They would hold them like you were holding the garden boxes.

  15. Because I was a child raised on PBS, I thought of y’all as doing the “Smarty Pants” dance from Between the Lions.

(Warning, if you look up “Smarty Pants dance Between the Lions”, I am NOT responsible for the earwig song that will be stuck in your head for the rest of your life 🤣)

  16. I wanted to mention that I put weed block fabric under my beds last year and just yesterday while working in them they were FULL of worms. So I don't think the weed fabric deters as much as we might think. Not sure how that works exactly. I was pretty surprised as I also thought it would block that kind of stuff. It was either that, I thought, or fight bind weed constantly which I did NOT want to do. 😆

  17. My 5 kids went to a K12 school and there was 10 years between the first and fifth. It was always very exciting for the kids to be present for things like a Senior Walk!❤ Sadly, we now have so many new teachers and administration that don’t seem to care about those traditions. My grandkids are there now and don’t get near as much interaction with the “big kids.”

The biggest tradition was a talent show called Coffee House. The High School provided the talent and the Junior High served refreshments. The new music teacher got so tired of kids whining at at him to bring it back, he eventually screamed at them, stating it was over and in the past and they could get over it. It was crazy. Hopefully he will move on some day. Lol

  18. yup Amaranth fer sure, oh maybe I missed it, but how are you going to control the grass growing between the herb beds in your "kitchen garden"?

  19. I'm getting ready to plant a tower of green beans in my Evergreen GreenStalk. I named it "Jack" the Evergreen BeanStalk! 🤣🤣🤣

  20. I love the name "Tea Garden" and know it will be fantastic! Your boys are awesome, just like their dad. Blessings to all of you.

  21. I’m really looking forward to your tea garden. I’m in the process of building a cut flower cottage garden. Watching you I’m getting some inspiration for my new garden

  22. We have what I call "extra-full sun" LOL. NO shade in most of the growing spaces so 6:30am to 8:30pm in the height of summer is a lot on the plants, for sure.

  23. Childhoods go by Fast, and now on the edge of turning 80, I think you also feel the Lifetimes go by Fast. That's just how we're made, to think this, I suppose.
