Hi there green thumbs! I bought this beautiful zebra plant back in March but the last few weeks she’s been very droopy. I don’t use tap water and only water it if it’s dry when I put my finger in the soil. I really can’t tell if I’m over or under watering and I’m also not sure about my light situation. I’m pretty sure my balcony is indirect light it’s just not bright. I did buy a grow light and keep that on a 12 hour timer. I don’t know obviously I’m doing something wrong but I can’t pin point it because it feels like everything lol, I would appreciate any tips to keep this baby alive!

As someone who owns over 100 houseplants and went to horticulture school and likes to think of herself as having a pretty damn green thumb… I have owned this plant 4 times and murdered it every time without fail. I don’t know what the hell she wants.

Not an expert on this plant but mine was unhealthy and losing leaves. I repotted her and placed her in a full sun window and she has tripled in size in the last few months.

These plants like a little more humidity than other plants..

I treated mine like a calathea. Using either distilled water or water treated with aqua safe.

I watered when the bottom third was damp

Never. Again. There is NO pleasing her I swear. God speed.
