Anyone have issue planting strawberries into mushroom compost/peat moss mix? Mushroom soil is completely cool- I planted a bunch of bareroot strawberries and they all pretty much died.. started over w prestarts on a week we had 3in of rain… so far so good.
I used landscape fabric this year as mulch and its a WORLD of difference from last year. the plants are huge
Do you put the mulch on before the leaves start popping up or shortly after? When do you put on the pine mulch?

How to use trifecta on established strawberry plants and how often? Do I just sprinkle the trifecta around the base of each plant? And how much should that be, a tbsp.?

Can I water down Blue Def diesel cleaner? It is pure nitrogen and water I believe
@MIGardner mine keep dying. Three years in a row. I dont know exactly what happens. Maybe I mulch to earlier before the plant is dormant, or maybe i mulch to heavily, or maybe I uncover to late? I grow in kiddie pools so maybe the insulation on the side isn't enough and it still freeze.
How do I combat tarnished plant bug? It bites the strawberry flowers and stunts the growth of the berry.
I have been looking forward to strawberry videos, I put a new bed of plants/ crowns in and used your Trifecta. Four different varieties most are doing great,one variety I wanted to try I had to order and four out of ten plants doing well but this variety when shipped took a tour of the country before they got here, I was watching the tracking move them around. Haven’t given up on them yet. The rest are doing great,planted exactly the way you showed in your videos.

I would love to learn more about strawberries. I tried growing with a friend in southeastern Michigan and the pests ended up ripping them out. Any tips for keeping strawberries from pests?
Pretty sure I smothered most of my strawberries I planted last year by using straw mulch that completely covered them.
Is it possible to over feed or fertilize strawberries. Would you recommend one week fish emulsion fertilizer follow up to second week with worm-cast tea what do you think?
