I’ve had her for a month and a half now and despite her having grown, she turned yellow in the middle and the leaves are turning outwards. What did I do wrong? How do I save this?

I moved her from a shady place to one where she gets more direct sunlight and I also gave her a little water (I’ve only watered twice since I got her).

The yellowish at the bottom part of the leaves is the sign of the plant wasn’t getting enough lights, that’s etiolation.

Inadequate light was definitely part of it so that move was good. You also need to get it repotted, as it likely has root issues from the too-small pot and/or the crappy nursery soil. Get a pot maybe 1-2 inches bigger, cactus potting soil, and extra grit such as pumice or perlite. Once repotted, water well maybe every 2-3 weeks.

As I’ve lost several haworthias while learning the hard way, do be sure you read up about HOW to repot (like carefully removing old soil and especially letting plant sit for a couple days before putting into new potting material- visible and microscopic damage to roots needs to callous over before any contact with moisture or -> root rot).
