I planted new Bermuda sod a 3 years ago. The first 2 years was a perfect return from dormancy, however, this year my yard looks terrible. I live in GA and the temps are ranging from 50 to 80 (low and high temps). My concern is my front year has returned already with the current temps and looks great, but the back yard is really struggling. Current activities: Pre-Emergent, 13/13/13 + Humicar (laid down in March), aeration and second feed (34/0/0) last week. Any ideas of whats going on?

Friend, you’re in one of the few spots on reddit that functions to get people to kill their lawn not save it 🙂

If it doesnt take, and it’s not a high-traffic area, or you think you could convert some of that space to plants that are more environmentally useful than grass, anyone here would be happy to help you find some native plants that are much lower maintenance & much more visually interesting than just grass!

Way too many products applied in dormancy, way too much nitrogen! What did you do to it last fall?

And now is a good time to look into native grasses and flowers –
