A brand new Tokyo Disney vlog series begins now! Gary C and I are off on a magical adventure to Japan, starting with our Travel Day from the UK to Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. This is Gary’s very first time visiting Tokyo Disney Resort, and we’re documenting every step of the journey—from Heathrow Terminal 5, through Premium Economy with British Airways, and all the way to check-in to an Alice in Wonderland themed room at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, where we’ve booked a Vacation Package complete with attraction passes, park tickets, and exclusive merchandise.

Go Japanese App (not sponsored): https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/go-japanese-speaking-in-20h/id1147959687

We begin the vlog at Sofitel Heathrow, where we get up to some classic Adam & Gary antics, featuring Japanese lessons for Gary, a couple of funny moment with towels and robes, as well as dinner at Vivre in the main lobby. The next morning we review our stay, and head into Heathrow Terminal 5 for some airport breakfast at Giraffe. After exploring duty-free and the Club Aspire Lounge, we board our British Airways 787 Dreamliner in World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy). We share a full review of the onboard experience, including meal service, inflight entertainment, amenity kits, Wi-Fi access, and those all-important Penn State pretzels!

After a smooth arrival at Tokyo Haneda Airport, we share pro-tips for navigating the metro system, travelling to Maihama Station using Suica cards via Apple Wallet, and arrive at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. Picking up our Disney Vacation Package pack, we link our park tickets, drop our bags with bell services, and head into Tokyo Disneyland park.

During our first day, we enioy Gary’s first experience seeing Tokyo Disneyland, meet Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame and enjoy the Disney Pal-Palooza Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World celebration decorations and sweets. Exploring the park, Gary takes lots of picture-pictures, before we board our first ride: Pooh’s Hunny Hunt. We also ride the Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, It’s a Small World with Groot, enjoy some curry popcorn and browse some of the merchandise.

Heading back to the room in the early evening, we stop by the Disney Mercantile store to pick up our Disney Vacation Package gifts and buy some essential snacks from the convenience store. Once in the room, we give you a full room tour of the Alice in Wonderland theme, before we crash out from the tiredness.

This is only the beginning of our Tokyo Disney Resort series, which includes visits to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, a stay at the brand new Fantasy Springs Hotel, and lots of incredible dining, merchandise, and attractions still to come.

[Music] Morning. Hello. Oh, welcome to a new Tokyo Disney adventure. If you are new here, hello. My name is Adam Hatton. I vlog various things including Disney parks, Disney Cruise Line, and this is my second time going to Tokyo Disney. I went at the end of last year for my first trip where I did like a tips and tricks first timers experience vlog series. So, if you haven’t seen that yet, I’d maybe recommend going to watch that first if you would like to uh get some tips and tricks for planning your first trip to Tokyo Disney. But this trip is going to be very different because I am traveling with my best friend Gary C. He’s not the biggest fan of traveling far. So, it took some convincing, but I think after he saw the vlogs from the previous trip that I did and some temptation of meeting Duffy the Bear, who he’s always wanted to meet and stuff like that, it tipped the scale in our favor. So, he’s coming on the adventure. I can’t wait to see his first time experience and just go back myself. I’m so excited. So, this this vlog is going to be more like uh magical experience of Tokyo Disney sort of thing and trying some new restaurants, showcasing the attractions, the overall experience. And fingers crossed the quietest time of year we are going in the cold season and also when there are lots of refurbishments going on for attractions. So, based on the crowd calendars I’ve seen, this is the quietest week to go. Will it actually be quiet? We’re going to find that out together. But we are traveling with British Airways in Premium Economy tomorrow. We’re heading down to the airport in just a moment. Uh meeting there, and then getting the adventure started. But we’re staying in two hotels, the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and the Fantasy Springs Hotel. And I can’t wait to share it all with you. So, thank you very much for being here. Sit back, relax, and let’s go to Tokyo Disney. I must admit I am like slightly apprehensive about flying with British Airways. If you have been a regular subscriber, you’ll know that every time I have flown with British Airways, something has gone wrong. Touch wood. Touch wood. Um, so I’m just I really want this to go well because they are about half the price of Japan Airlines and I loved flying with Japan Airlines, but when there’s two of us going, I could get the flight for two of us for the same price as one of us in premium economy at Japan Airlines. So, uh, I’m hoping I’m hoping. Come on, British Airways. You can do you can do this. I have faith in you. Hia. Taxis here. And £1,000 PCP finance deposit contributions. You don’t need contractors. You need contractors. [Music] GC in the house. Hello. Do you want to practice your Kichi art? That’s Thank you. Um, we are heading to the room. We’ve just passed a little Sweet Kingdom shop. Uh, yeah. And we’ve booked dinner at uh Viva, which is the restaurant down here. Viva live forever. Still got it, girls. I’m back. Um, so we’re going to go up to the room, do a little room tour, and then come back down, get some dinner, and maybe Oh, let’s check what time they close. Oh, yeah. Don’t miss out. We don’t want to miss out. Oh. Oh no. Oh no. Come on. Oh, do you have to do the the little beepy thing? Oh, the lady’s reaction is we should go out the lift. What? That’s going to be me in Disney Tokyo. No, no, no, no, no. Where’s it taking us? I don’t know. We’ve just gone past our floor. Oh, no. We did miss the rain. Good. We did good. Um, you’re vlogging. I was just talking to myself out loud. which is vlogging. If if you haven’t met Gary before, you get a lot of this. All right. Uh we’re in room 11105, which is down this way. Um lovely smell of the hotel. Beautiful gas. This is a five-star hotel, but weirdly, this hotel was cheaper than the Hilton by over £100. Taking pictures in this. Yeah, you were done. I mean, it’s because on the last trip I took 6 and a half thousand photos. Yeah. Well, we’re going to have to be a bit more careful about how many pictures we take this time cuz there’s only so many gigabytes in the world. Gary Z. I know. Welcome to the Sopotel room tour. I had to think then. Oh, this is what we do. I thought I made you jump. Oh, no. We talked to the thing. We are in a classic twin room. As you come in on the left, you have tea stuff. So, we’ve got any bisc Oh, we have got biscuits, chocolate chip, and shortcake. Oh, very nice. Uh, little kettle, ice bucket down there. What do you call these? Milklets. I hate that phrase. In here, we Oh, we have one robe so we can fight over who gets that. Someone is a nudist. Two pairs of slippers. Uh, shoe brush, shoe horn. Um, is that a fan? What is this? I don’t know. No, it’s a shoe. I thought like hangers, a spare pillow, uh, a laundry bag by the looks of it. What is this for? This ballet slipper looking thing. It’s for wedding dresses and stuff. Oh, is that what they’re for? Yeah. I’ve always wondered that. As you were. Here is the bathroom. Lovely and shiny and clean. Very nice. Very nice. Very nice. The hand soap is very uh like what am I trying to say? It smells nice. Nice. This reminds me of like do you know in TV things on TV when like in TV in TV things on TV? Yeah. There’s like money and they grabbing it all. Do you remember that? Like Crystal Maze stuff like that. But like monies and they got to put it through and it goes up and it says you want this as you were. They do give you some amenities. So, we’ve got little little soaps. Oh, good. Uh we’ve got a shower cap and a vanity kit. I love the fact that a shower cap is called bonnet the douche. Oh, let me play with the douche. No, we don’t say that can’t go in. Why not? Douche means clean. You look like you’re doing like um All right, girls. A food inspection at a factory or something. Oh yeah. Is that what you’re doing over there? Um, and then we have some things on the wall. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, uh, towel toucher says. Oh, there’s the other row. Oh, look. It was It was an experience. It was part of a surprise. Oh dear. Oh no. Right. A lot of people out there are going to know what I say when I say this. These are grandparent towels. Washed to death. Washed to death. But they were a wedding present. Oh, but they never wanted. He wanted Why are you putting everything on? Just to see. What does What does the robe touch say? Oh, no. The robe touches says put it back on the hanger. Oh, really? Touch it. It’s the span of the towels. But it’s a Look, Sache Shante. Sache. Shante. Also, if you’re ever looking for a bottle opener, it’s in the bathroom. Oh, wow. Right there. So, they’ve got um I really like the fact that they’ve got some space to actually put your luggage. Um Oh, what’s that? It’s a door. What’s that? Cuz I touched the other door. I was like, double door. There’s a safe there. Big enough to put a laptop in. We appreciate that. Little fridge. Oh, a complimentary water. What does that say? But we’re charging you. Enjoy the refreshments available in the mini bar. Free laundry. Here we have some nice big drawers. Uh TV, big mirror, uh some equipment if you want to plug in your computer to the actual TV, which is good. What? They got USBs. No. Oh, they are, aren’t they? No. No. No. That’s an American plug. Okay. Well, unless that’s USBC. No, that’s definitely American plug. That would electrocute you. Don’t do that. Uh any USBs on the other side? No. So, it hasn’t obviously not been refurbished in a while. And I think this looks the same as when we stayed here in 202 something two, I want to say. Um, but the only thing we noted is that the the beds were really soft. Like too soft. Oh no. Oh my god. Yes, it’s exactly the same. Did you hear that crack? That was just my back. By the way, turn around. Turn around. The Mickey bag is no more. The zip broken. I love the fact that you’ve got to put this in the vlogs for your own memories. Yeah, that’s what I remember. So, I got this off vintage £6 including delivery and fees. Deal. So, we learned that they actually put a like a duvet underneath the bed sheet. So, if you wanted a firmer mattress, you could take that off, but then you feel the springs. So, the mattresses here aren’t the best. Uh, but the overall I would give it Well, we’ll review it tomorrow. Yeah. Bit sto it. I’m missing. We’ve decided to swap beds because this one’s a bit firmer. Do that again. So, I just sat on this and it went now. Still carrying that holiday weight, Gary. You know what? You beat me to it. You beat me to it. It’s been months since Christmas. Months. And for some reason, they always forget that with the vlogging because of the way it works is like the they go out a week every week. So for them, they’ve just watched a series or something. For us, it’s ages ago. So I don’t know what I’m saying. Hello from the past. Hello from the past. Future past. You know, you know, you know. Do you know balloons? Oh, that’s I So I sent Gary this picture when I was in Tokyo Disney of these balloons and then he’s had it as his screen saver ever since. And now you’re going manifesting. So, as soon as I’ve seen these said balloons, the exact balloons in my mind’s eye, I will change it to a picture of my brother’s dog again, Coco the little baby. We are the type of friends that you can just leave us in a room and we will chat and chat and chat and chat and chat. Um, we’re currently in these positions. Hello. And Gary was saying that about he was chatting to his mom like, “Oh, I’m probably never going to come here again.” And then I said, “Right now, I’m going to put this in the vlog and say, at the moment, you’ve said you’re probably never going to go again. I will ask you the same question at the end of the trip because I thought I was never going to go again.” And here we are. So far from Kansas, though, Toto. So far. So far. But if it’s so so good. Well, we haven’t seen the little hats and the merch. What What’s the hats called? The Peter Pan hats. The Lost Boy hats. The Lost Boy hats. There is one that um I want the and also I bought I bought a few of them and that one wasn’t in stock when I was there. The the raccoon. So we want the raccoon hat. And because the raccoon boys are twins, it would be quite nice if we got one each and then wore them one day. But merchandise gods, isn’t it? Tokyo Disney merch is very hard to hard to lock down. Exactly. So, um, but yeah, we’re going to head to Vivra for dinner and, uh, then get some snacks and come back to the room and then start teaching Gary some Japanese. Ah, well, we we’re now in the evening, so you you’d say that was very good. We just need to work on like shortening the inflections because not everything has to be a salty. I would love to see someone’s face if you did that. Don’t you dare. Don’t you dare. I know you too well. You thought, “Oh, there’s an echo here.” Actually, I thought of Peter Pan going even worse. I know. Um, we we have been talking a lot about what is and isn’t acceptable in Japanese culture and shouting out. He’s got one of them. even to actual Peter Pan on the floats because they don’t really shout out to the characters on the floats. They just wave and they just wave clap along. There won’t be any more Ariel. It’s bad. They do have a very fancy um French cuisine restaurant which we looked at last time, but that was very expensive. They do have a sphere bar if casual dining, but we are going to Viva. There’s a little shop down there as well. Oh, we’ll go and look at them. Hello. Got a selection of starters here. is this is very similar to the um Hilton in terms of price, isn’t it? They definitely know how to get you means we got a gourmet beef burger. Fish and chips, fish cakes, fish and chips. £24. Yeah. Oh, tart from the grill. Cornfred chicken breast curry. We’re doing the rest of this series is going to be Japanese food. I’m going to go chip and fish. This is not going well. Any Japanese people watching? Get ready, girls. Strap yourselves in cuz I’m coming. Please do not be practicing English from Gary. No, do not. Do not use the subtitles to learn English. We’ve got the mezzy platter to share, which looks very nice and fresh. Okay, fine. I am taking a picture of this. Gary said, “I’m not going to take a picture of dinner.” Um, but we’ve got falafel, red pepper, hummus, beetroot dip, something else, and then some flatbreads. I’m going to give the mezza platter a solid five out of five. So am I. Very nice. Very fresh. Not cheap. Not cheap, but the dips were all very good. The falafel was very tasty. And it was nice to have like a little light, healthy entry to our meal. And warm pas. The warm little breads was really nice. I’ve gone for the spaghetti cabanara. Gary has gone for the fish and chips, which smells mighty fishy. Yeah. And it smells like it’s jumped out of the ocean. Like fresh fish. I’m going to give my cabanara a five out of five. I’m going to give my fish and chips a five out of five. The fish was beautiful, very well cooked and it was actually quite filling. The cabanara portion was really big and very filling and yeah, just very it’s been very nice service. It is pricey, but I think as we’ve learned from the previous hotel restaurants, I think you’re always paying a premium to be eating here. And the apple juice was free apparently. And I’ve paid a lot more for apple juice in restaurants before. Yes, you have. on the wall they’ve got a little light map so it show it shows you where Oh no not electric I got really excited cuz I thought oh it must change with the time zone but I don’t think it does because we’re there and it’s definitely nighttime and where are we going to we are going to Japan which is there so we go that way last time you went you went that way but you came back that way so you did a whole circuit of the world Yeah. So hopefully we do that and then I’ll be telling people I went around the world. Depends where the wind’s going. [Laughter] Sweet Kingdom. We’re back. We’re back. We’re back. Back. Back. It’s a little bit like a coffee machine. So Oh, that’s clever. Yeah, it’s vacuum packed. Look at this. It’s so yummy, too. Well, then got chat to the lovely Sheila in the sweet shop, which is ironic because the sweet shop in my town is called Sheila Sweets. Oh, the one in your kind is blush. Oh, we got the milkshakes there. Oh, we did. I had the frozen yogurt. Very nice. I had the salted caramel ice cream. And we got some picker mix and some bottles of water in here as well. Since purchasing this ice cream, we’ve had two people stop us and go, “Where’d you get the ice cream?” We’re now going to add a speaker card to Gary’s phone. And basically what this is is an Oyster card essentially. So, uh, we have in London Oyster System, which that’s exit. Aha, we’re vampires. We’re vampires. Tell no one. So, in the Apple Wallet, you push the little plus in the top right hand corner. Mhm. And then you click on travel card. And then you can type in their speaker, which is spelled S U I C A. add and then face ID yet. Continue. Yep, that’s me. And then we’re going to add credit to it. Okay. Now, it’s not much to get there, but we’ll also be using it to go on the Disney Montreal. You have to pay for that. Yeah. I thought that was part of it like like the thing in Disney World. Terry, you’ve watched my Tokyo Disney vlogs. You know this. I was watching for the characters in that. So, you’ll get this message come up that says express transit card. So this basically allows you to without touching the side or using Face ID, you can just touch your phone on it will automatically read it. Oh wow. I found a very good app that I used last time which is looks like a very independent small app called Go Japanese. It looks like this when you get into it and I’ll put a little screenshot of what the actual logo looks like. Uh it was quite hard to find so I will see if I can like link it in the description if possible. But yeah, it’s a good app. can go through there and go through different categories. For example, you can find greetings in there um and find out what good morning is. So, if I click on good morning, it will then play it for you. It’s very handy. Hello and welcome to Adam’s Japanese School for Gary. Um these are just the phrases that I used quite commonly and I think once you see them being used, you’ll pick them up quite easily. What was the one where you were like, “Hooray.” What was that one? Uh, psycho. Psycho, which means like let’s go. Yeah. Good morning. Which is Ohio. Ohio. Yeah. Imagine like the Great Lakes state of Ohio. Ohio. Close enough. It’s not necessarily Ohio. Uh, good. Uh, good day or hello is Konichiwa. Konichiwa. I learned that you can say it pretty much at any time and you won’t be wrong. Konicha. So even if it’s good morning or good night and you don’t remember what it is, just go Konichiwa and you’ll be fine. And then good evening is banana. Uh that one was quite nice. Whenever I said that, people like, “Oh, sounds like combine harvester coma.” Yeah. Uh the one that you’re going to need to know. Oh no. Is sorry or my mistake, which is sumasen. Sumien. Easy. Thank you. The polite way to do it if with someone you don’t know but not the inflection on hello goose in Japanese. I must have searched this before. Gacho gacho gacho gacho gacho. He can learn that. And what’s what’s exit? Oh, it begins with a date. I can’t remember now. Hang on. G. I’m just going to bow. Bow bow. Wave. Wave. Wave. Let’s try. Let’s practice your bow. Okay. Okay. You come to me. [Music] Bowing. A great bow. He didn’t even do it. No bow for you. That’s good. Very good. Yeah, that’s what I’m going to do. Head then hand. Claps. Claps. Claps. I’m going to do the head then the hand. Not the hand and the head. Oh, that’s my cup of tea. Too much. I would like the record to note that I just offered I just offered to make a cup of tea because there is video footage of me in his vlogs when he says I always make the tea and I’m like I always consume the tea. I’ve just offered to make the tea. I can’t work this new camera. I hate it. And but you making a tea does sometimes equate to burning the house down. Well, also you don’t like it cuz you say it’s too what’s it called? Well, you put the milk in. Yeah. You don’t like the way I do it. But anyway, I have just offered and he said, “No, I don’t trust you to do it.” So, just so you know, this one time I offered not doing it. I say, “Let’s do the ending clip.” And then I hear him getting dressed for something. Why do I feel like you’re about to Yeah. Oh no. That’s what I was expecting. I was expecting a robe and the hair the hair thing. Oh, this this is the best weave I could come up with. This is supposed to be Mar Simpson. Oh, it wasn’t that. Can you do that? Her name was Lola. She was a showgirl. Oh, I’ve got a fringe. Right. It doesn’t take that long to get rid of a towel. Now, what are you doing? I’m a prop. Oh, for goodness sake. That song’s going to be stuck in my head now. Her name was Lola. She was a show girl with yellow feathers in her hair and her dress cut down to there. She would merge and do the chaa. Oh, it’s a beret. It’s a mess is what it is. Get over here. Oh no, that’s [Laughter] not Thank you for watching the first part of travel day. We are going to check in with you tomorrow for a full travel day, but we’re also going straight to Tokyo Disneyland when we get there. So, it’s a long vlog. I hope you’ve got your cup of tea. Maybe pause it and go and have a we now. But come back. We’ll see you in a bit. And if you’re having a great time already, don’t forget to like. See you in the morning. Morning. Welcome to 6:00 a.m. We didn’t sleep. No. Uh the lights came on by themselves. Scary. I went to the toilet as a shadow. I didn’t hear the shadowy figure go across the room and I screamed. This was after the lights debacle. Um, this is what happens when you read late night things. I don’t know why I do it. I don’t read late night things about shadow figures and it’s just no. So anyway, what we doing? We’re flying to Japan with British Airways and Premium Economy. So we the Sopetel Hotel is right next door to Terminal 5. So we’re just going to try on over there. Moonwalk. Bless you. That was one thing. I sneezed during the night and he went Uh, out of five, what are you going to give the softell Gary Sue? I give Sheila on the Sweets fivestar plus. I give the restaurant four. Overall, unfortunately free. Uh, yeah, I’m going to agree with all those ratings. Actually, the the I think the restaurant would have been five if it wasn’t as expensive. Yeah, but the the proximity to the the airport’s very good. Um, I think the price of what we paid tonight was, you know, competitive, but we didn’t sleep. So, you can sleep regardless of where you are and how the temperature goes up and down by its own accord. It’s the air. It’s always the air con. Yeah. It’s cuz UK hotels sort your air con out. My goodness. And also, you always wake up in the morning like dry spitting sand on the road again. Oh, sure. Done. Oh, slack. Let’s open something just so we know we’ve done it. Yep. Let’s go. So, from the hotel, you just follow signs to Heathro airport and car park. Thankfully, the lift has just arrived. We’re going to go terminal 5. I think this takes us to the car park. And then we take those lifts to the terminal which is terminal lift level five right because that’s the top departures is at top in terminal 5. I think this is a car rental place. So if you do need car rental service and you want to book it with this place it might be convenient. Vibes jazz vibes. Welcome to smooth airport jazz. We just saw an example of modernday fatherhood. Balancing two coffees and a child simultaneously while the child is like a chicken. Welcome to Terminal 5, the home of British Airways. And Gary just told me that you’ve never flown with British Airways. Not long or anything. No, only um to Belfast once. It cost me £150 just to sit in the plane back in the day. Back in the day it was very expensive. Oh my goodness. That’s why I never did it again. I mean, don’t get me wrong, this flight today is not cheap, but I don’t think any flight to Japan is cheap. British Airways call their Premium Economy World Traveler Plus. So, we are going to go and find that sign. There’s actually a handy dandy board that tells us where to go. So, we’re flying to Tokyo. Where is it? Where is it? Where is it? 905D/F. Right, we need to walk down a bit. We are also going to ask the question if we can. How much is it for business class? Um, as of right now, the upgrade is like £939. So, we’re not paying that. Check it this morning. Within the last 24 hours. Yeah. But on the day, they then get a different rate. Thinking of upgrading. We are. Hello. Hi there. How are you? Said to the lady. I was like, “We’re looking upgraded.” And she said, “You’re not flying to,” and I said at the exact same time as she did, Tokyo Hanada. And she said, “It’s the only flight where everything is full, but it’s the only it’s the only flight she’s been asked about all day.” Um, so just goes to show that price obviously has been very high, even up until now, and everyone’s been asking about it. But basically, she said she’s got a little roster there that allows her to see what she can inquire about, which classes she can inquire about. Um, so we’re not lucky this time, but at the same time, still premium economy. Yeah. I never really know what to do with Heathrow. Sometimes it’s creativity, sometimes it’s dead. And this morning it’s dead. Yeah. It’s like a morg up in here. I mean, I probably should have thought about it uh because it’s February, but it won’t be too bad. Uh, but the flight is absolutely jam-packed. Yeah. When she said there’s literally no upgrades anywhere on there’s no other seats. You can’t move seats or anything. So Oh, wow. We actually pre- booked our seats by paying the monies. I think it was like £70 a seat, but we managed to make sure that we had a window and we got the two of us together and everything like that. So, you need a window to vlog the going out. Well, I like to where I can. So, it it worked out in our favor to actually pay for that this time because otherwise we might have no not even sat together if we didn’t pay for it. Uh but yeah, let’s go through security. Through security wasn’t too bad today. Um, our flight information will be available at 7:50. So, we’ve got a good hour for Oh, look, Gary. It’s the Old Faithful. If you’ve been watching the channel for a long time, we used to go to giraffe at Gatwick South. And there’s one here. So, let’s go get some breakfast. Little pastries in the window. How much is the quasant in the window? £6. Welcome to Giraffe, where you love eat live. Here is a look at the menu. I think we’ve already looked at the menu last night to decide what we’re actually going to have. I’m going to go for the avocado smash with some poached eggs. How do you know when you’re dining in a restaurant in an airport? Little baby knives. So cute. You’re going to hear me say, “Wow.” And so cute and cute. Oh, that’s cute. I need Well, what’s cute in Japanese? Kawaii. Correct. Ding. So, we’re looking around and Gary says, “Why is there no giraffe?” But look, there’s a zebra print on that. Yeah, but it’s the shape of a giraffe. It’s abstract. You’re the artist here. You’ll do for me. I’ve gone for the avocado smash with poached eggs. Looks incredible. And a side of bacon. Maple syrup pancakes with a little bit of butter on. Nice. Giraffe out of five. Five. Always five. Yeah. Wasn’t too bad actually. With two juices, two teas, and two nice breakfasts. It was £45. Not bad for an airport. Why are we in the tacky shop? Cuz there’s paddington things in here. $34.99 it was in the shop at the hotel. But for $22.99 you can get a bigger softer one here. Still not cheap though. What would you like? I’m going to get some sweet and salty popcorn cuz that’s a nice little timed color. And maybe some Oh squares. Found a little um Cathedral City lunch pack. So I’ve got cheese and biscuits for the plane which is quite nice. You just have to make sure you eat that before you go through customs at the other end. I think it’s 15 here. What a difference. What a difference makes. Oh, bear makes that’s that goes a lot better. Spot a juty free shopping. Have a little mimos. This is the main hall. They do have a premon here. Look at that. And a wagam mama up the top as well. Since Virgin Atlantic changed all their point system and British Airways and Japan Airlines are the only ones that really go to Japan from London, uh I have joined a loyalty credit card thing so that I can get lounge access when I’m flying with British Airways now. So we’re going to the club Aspire Lounge. A lot of bougie shops in terminal 5. Ain’t got no power stretcher. Rolex Burberry Gucci. Where’s the Audi party? Fort Le Mason Bar Rolex. Here we are. It is quite a small lounge, but they do have a buffet selection, which I’ll show you in just a moment, but we’ve managed to get a seat right by the edge. And we got this lovely view. So, this is similar to the selection they have at the Club Aspire Lounge in terminal 3. Got porridge there. We didn’t pay Well, we did I did actually pay for a pre-booking so that we could guarantee that we could go in, which was £6 a person. Uh that’s through priority pass. Um but we heard on the way out that if you’re just paying for it, like walking off the or or booking it on the Heathrow website, £46, it is not worth that. I can tell you that much. Um, if you’ve got it included in your, you know, credit card, loyalty, whatever, well, then yeah, it’s a nice place to sit. It’s a nice view. The food, the food looked all right. We didn’t, we’ obviously eaten. Um, but yeah, I wouldn’t recommend it’s not I don’t think it’s worth £46. A10. Here we are. So, we got to go down to the lower level, it says. Well, I would say Terminal 5 was a nice experience. Very nice. I think if you haven’t got a lounge, this is the terminal to be out of, isn’t it? It’s very chill, although it’s very early still. We’re getting on a bus, Gary. You’ve never been on a bus at an airport? No, not just said this is like tendering on a cruise ship. Yeah, an extra step they put in. It would be funny if it was literally the one next to us and they just don’t want us to go on the D. I’m pretty sure we’re near terminal 3 now. That’s where American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic go out of. Oh, fire engines. Oh, yeah. That’s Virgin. Thank you. [Music] I’m coming. Hello. 20 J and K. Thank you very much. Thank you, sir. Hello. Hello. Hello. No, you’re with me. So this is what business or club looks like. That’s not us though, Gary. Sorry. Nice, nice, nice try though. This is the World Traveler Plus premium economy. [Music] It comes with big headphones in a special pack. Ooh. In between the seats, we’ve got a little tray which we’ll be able to put the drinks and stuff on. Our actual tray, I think, is in here down there. So, we’ll get out for the meal. Uh there is a footrest and then little pocket, two USBs, which is interesting. Uh then you’ve got a TV. This is a 787 Dreamlininer I think. So this was probably built in 2013 14 about that. The window is one of those dimmable ones. So when we take off, they’ll enable it so that you can dim them and stuff like that. But it’s quite good because they automate all of them so that they all do the same thing so that hopefully everyone can sleep. a nice little pillow. Um, little blanket. It’s actually quite a nice blanket as well. And then in the amenity kit, Gary’s going to walk us through. Hello everyone. Welcome on board this British Airways after the announcement. Lip balm. Nice pen. Oo, what a pen socks. Lovely eye mask in case you want to play traitors. And then a toothbrush and a little toothpaste which Gary is very grateful for because he was debating bring his own and he thought where we get the little thing and I wasn’t sure but we do and we did. Brilliant. There’s a little remote on the side of the seat so you can pop that out to control the television if you want to. Tada. Uh that’s the headphone jack just there. Little button to recline. Newest releases. I mean Beetle Juice. Beetlejuice. I mean, they’re classifying Disenchanted as a new release. One of the cabin crew has come by to offer us sparkling wine, water, or orange juice. We’ve gone for orange juice. And they’ve also given us the menu for the flight. On board, we have a starter of beetroot, tartar, whipped goats curd, and goats cheese. Main course we’ve got a choice of slow braised British beef, chicken meatballs or baked spinach and ricotta canalone. I might go for the canalone, you know. Leg room is quite good actually. I think this is actually more leg room than the Japan Airlines seat. So I’m pretty sure that if I remember correctly was like there is British Air lights will guide you to the exit. There are signs above the doors. The cabin crew will point out the exits. I wonder if they have cabin crews to cross. [Applause] [Music] Welcome everyone. We will now demonstrate the safety features of this aircraft and your attention is essential as this may be different from any aircraft that you’ve flown on before. In case of turbulence, we recommend you keep your seat belts fastened and visible at all times. Tight. Heat. Heat. If you connect to the onboard Wi-Fi, they will show you um what your flight is doing. Um, the free Wi-Fi is available if you’re in first class. Everybody else, you can either buy a stream package or you can buy a stay connected, which is just the WhatsApp options. A browse and stream flight pass, which is suitable for browsing the web, keeping up with your email, connected to social networks, and watching online videos, is $19.99 for the flight. I invested in YouTube Premium for this flight. So, I’ve actually been able to download some YouTube videos and research Tokyo Disney whilst we’re on the way to Tokyo Disney. We’ve been given one of my favorite things in the world, the Penn State baked pretzels. Very, very nice. They used to do these on Virgin. Uh got a Coke Zero. Gary got an apple juice. Unfortunately, they ran out of the spinach and ricotta canalone, which is what we were both hoping to get. Um that’s one thing I noticed that if you’re sitting towards the back of the cabin, you kind of end up having the choice of food last. So, if something runs out, you’re kind of stuck with what you’ve got. Uh, so they had the chicken and beef left over. I’ve gone for the chicken meatballs, but they also offered if you’re vegetarian or you don’t want those, you can have the vegetarian option from the cabin behind, which is what Gary’s gone for. So, he’s got the noky and tomato, which actually looks quite nice. Yeah. Uh, then we’ve got the beetroot salad there. We’ve got chocolate cake. We’ve got a bread roll. And this is what the chicken meatballs look like. What did you think of the meal? really nice. There was a lot of food. There was quite a lot actually. And I think the only thing was the bread was like a hockey puck there. Yeah. So, uh but otherwise the actual main course was quite nice. I think that was a more Japanese dietary choice of the three options. But this happens quite a lot with especially when I fly with British Airways. They don’t seem to stock the right things. So you always get to like the last couple of rows they run out of something in particular. Um so I think that’s most airlines. What would you give it out of five? Um I’m going to say it did the job. So I’m going to say three out of five. I say four. The cable was nice. You like a sweet treat. The cabin crew have just wandered around with their mobile wall, shall we say. Uh, I’ve got some chocolate covered digestives. Gary got grazed, salt, and vinegar. Nice. It is now morning. They have his served breakfast. Both options have mushrooms on, but you know, it’s fine. I can pick them out. I’m a big boy. Incoming mushroom. I’m not a big boy. I hate mushrooms. And I really wish the airlines was to throw mushrooms into every single dish. Anyway, uh, we have a little dish. I’ve got a mozzarella tomato omelette, little fruits, little cupcake, a tea, and an apple juice. And Gary’s got the exact same thing. Really nice. Nice. I can’t believe how good it is. Normally an omelette, you know, in the air you would expect it to be good, but really good. Yeah, it’s hard to do like I think I prefer this the actual dinner. Oh, yeah. I do prefer this dinner. Oh, no. Glad I laptop Disneyland. That’s where we’re going. For your safety and security ask you to remain seated till the aircraft coming to complete stop and the secret sign have been switched. [Music] Oh maybe next time, Gary. Maybe next time. [Laughter] Thank you very much. Have a good day. Right now we need to go for immigration. So we will see you shortly afterwards. Do you remember what good morning is? No. We’ve just got through customs. We learned the hard way that you have to have an individual account unless you’re direct family members um for the mobile passport. So Gary had to fill in a card once we got through immigration, which is fine. It’s aged me 20 years, but thankfully it was very quiet, so we didn’t hold anyone up or anything. Um, and then he also had to fill in a yellow customs form, but everything was done through my QR code. Um, with the QR code as well, once I was going through customs, I actually just went walked up to a gate and then they magically opened. I didn’t have to like answer any questions or anything. It was great. Oh, I didn’t I had a lady asking me things. How many nights you here and what you got? How many nights you here? And then she said like, “How many nights?” And I said, five or six and then she just looked at me like make a decision. I’m just happy to be here. We’re about to make the journey from Haneda terminal 3 which is the international terminal here in Haneda Tokyo airport. Um I have vlogged this journey in depth on my previous vlog series if you want to go and check that out. We’ve currently got a lot of bags and I’ve got a Gary to deal with. So I will try and film clips where I can, but I’m going to be focusing on just making sure Gary stays alive and we make it in one piece and without any broken ankles. Everything is very well signposted. Uh we’ve set up the squeeaker card as you saw earlier in the vlog. If you haven’t got a speaker card, you can come here to get a welcome speaker card. Alternatively, you could buy just a train ticket to go to directly to your location, but we’re going to go through the tickets just there with our speaker card that’s loaded up on our Apple wallets. Is Disneyland on the map? No. Sorry. Damn it. If we set this up correctly, you just present it to the blue thing, it scans it, you go through. We are taking the Montreal towards Hammer Shucho. Yep, that one. Platform two. So, when you get towards the station, you stand to the left or to the right. Right. Welcome aboard the Tokyo Monteray. For your safety, please use the handrails. [Music] Line one turn. Refer to the bay gate. Hooray. Uh, so we’re now going to follow the signs to the elevator. Gary’s found his first Japanese vending machine of the trip. I just like the writing all over it. They’re very popular everywhere. You can get Yeah, you can get them for everything. Uh, right. We’re going to go downstairs. I’m going a slightly different route than I think I came at a different exit at this station last time, but I’m following the signs to the Ringai line. In a previous video, you’re thinking this is really different to where you came last time. It’s just because I was at the other end of the train this time. Uh, we’re going to the Ringai line, following the signage. Do you know what? Doing a 14-hour flight and then having an entire day is going to be interesting cuz my hair is already given up. Pro tip then, if you happen to be taking this route, make sure you go at the back of the monal and then you’ll end up at a better exit for going across to the Ringai line. Now, back on track. This is where I was last time. I know where I am now. My jacket’s coming out sooner than later. We’re going to platform two for the Ringai line down to Shinqa, which is our next swap. And uh, as I learned from my last trip, you stand on the left in Tokyo and let people pass on the right on the escalators. Train bound for Shiniba. Shikiba Shinkiba. Shinkiba. Just be careful there’s not any pink signs on the floor because they do have some women only carriages down there. Down there. The next station is Shiniba Terminal R1. [Music] You’ve made it to Tokyo Disneyland. Have you heard the tune? Go, go, go. on voage. Just here is the kind of like the welcome to Tokyo Disney shop and also goodbye from Tokyo Disney shop. So, it’s a bit like World of Disney in Disneyland Paris. Um, but if we walk, which we’re doing today, you can get a picture under the gosh, I’m out of breath. I am so tired. Tokyo Disney Resort. Woohoo. This evening we are staying in a Alice in Wonderland themed room for two nights at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. We’ve booked a Disney vacation package. If you’d like a little bit more detail about what the vacation package is, I recommend checking out episode 3 of my previous series. I go over it in full depth, but as like a little topline thing, you basically prepay for your two up to two night stay. You get your park tickets, your accommodation, and some exclusive um attraction tickets and stuff included, which just takes the hassle out of coming as an international guest in my opinion. Anyway, just got the obligatory picture in front of the Tokyo Disneyland entrance sign. So, this is the entrance to the main park over here. And we’ve just noticed that on this bridge, they have all these little figurines. There’s a Mickey Mouse one here, and they have other ones that as you go down, and I haven’t seen those. I love that I’ve only just arrived and I’ve already noticed things I didn’t notice last time. I didn’t notice these. No, but this thing you’ll point out things I just won’t see cuz you’re like characters. What a beautiful day to arrive as well. Blue sky. Gorgeous. Everything’s lit up for the photos. We’ve actually been We looked at the weather forecast. It looks like we’re going to be quite lucky overall. Um we should in theory have sun but a bit of chill. The device is running out. Oh no. Just hang on. Hang on. I see the problem. This is the Tokyo Disneyland Montreal station. So, if we took the Montreal from My Havana station, this is where we would have ended up. But here we are. Because we’re on a vacation package, we can’t go into the park and everything until we have picked up the package because that has the QR codes to link the tickets to the app. Uh, which you need to do if you want to be able to book uh what they call it here. I’ve got so many different systems I need to remember in my head of Disney planning. We’re here. Oh, it’s so lovely to be back. It’s very nice to go from thinking like I was never going to come here again to now being here again. And with my best friend as well. Hello. We’re going to go in, turn to the right, take the elevator up to the main floor, and check in at reception. Welcome to the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. Wow. It’s It’s just like Disneyland Paris Hotel in the sense that it’s got the same coloring, but it’s much bigger. It’s like if to uh Disneyland Hotel in Paris and Grand Fian had a baby. Yeah, that’s exactly what it is. All right, let’s go and check in. There’s the reception desk over here. We’ve just checked in with the lovely host. Uh that’s the really nice thing about the hotels. At the check-in desks, they do speak very good English. So, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. We picked up our vacation package and everything, but we’re just going to go and drop our luggage with the bell desk. At check-in, they gave us a little ticket. So, we can leave the luggage there and then hopefully we’ll be able to pick it up later. I actually think they might take it to the room, but we’ll find that out later together. Let’s open the Disney vacation package. So, this is what it looks like. Cool. And this has all of our attraction tickets and everything in there for the next couple of days. And it has a schedule on the front that shows you exactly what we’ve got. So, we’ve got the park tickets just there. So, that’s 3 days worth of park tickets. We’ve got an original goods voucher that allows us to get two gifts each. We’ve got a beverage ticket for each of us that allows us to get complimentary soft beverages and stuff like that. There’s a shoulder bag voucher which allows us to each have a little Disney vacation package souvenir. I don’t know what you’d call it. Like a It’s like a passport bag sort of thing. Oh wow. Uh we’ve got attraction tickets for the attractions. 16 of them. Well, they’re split over the the multiple days. Um and then we’ve got one each obviously for each attraction. Uh and then we’ve got a hotel restaurant voucher for a meal that we’ve got booked and also one popcorn case voucher so we can get a popcorn bag which I didn’t redeem last time. So, I’m looking forward to getting that this time. Uh, so here we are. Oh, wow. So, we can scan the park tickets into the app and get ready for our adventure. I’m just going to go ahead and add these tickets. So, I’ve opened the Tokyo Disneyland app. Now, click on Tokyo Disneyland and then it will load up my profile. Bluetooth is turned off. I’m just going to turn that back on. Then, I’m then going to click on scan ticket. Allow access to the camera. Scan the first one in. On the day of admission, please bring the ticket that you scanned with you. Okay, sure. And we’re just going to add a nickname so we know whose is who. Save. Cool. So, as we’re going to the park, I can basically scan Gary’s ticket, scan my ticket, and then we go. Say what you just told me. I could live in. Uh, we’re all checked here in now, and we are now going into Tokyo Disneyland. I’m going to preface. We’re probably not going to survive the whole day. We are very tired. Very, very tired. But we’re going to push through and we’re just going to enjoy the experience of seeing the park for the first time. We’ve got some attraction passes to use as part of the vacation package. So, we’re having a fun time. Yes. Oh, just like that. From hot to nippy in no time at all. It’s all right, actually. Oh my god, I love this music. It’s so good. Ready? [Music] Wow. How good is that? Very good. Also, I just let a lady take her picture before me and I did the bow and then she did the bow and everything back. So, I mean, you’re learning. I’m part of it. Now, we’re inside the park. I’m just going to very quickly check if they’ve got any Premier Passes available. So, Disney’s Premier Access is their version of Lightning Lanes that you get in Florida. Uh, let’s have a look at attractions. Continue. So strange. It’s like I’m really familiar and overfamiliar with it, but I don’t know it at all. So, we can get a pass for Do you want to go Splash Mountain today? Yeah. Disney Premier Access booked. We can also check if there’s any 40th anniversary priority passes available. So, we’re just going to go and check on those. Select the tickets. Okay. Oo. So, we’ve got Big Thunder Mountain at 7:25, Haunted Mansion, Star Tours. Let’s do Haunted Mansion. That’s a pretty good time, actually. Ah, there we go. Lovely. We are here for Vanelope’s Sweet Pop World. Uh, Palapalooa. So, this is basically one of their celebrations that they like to do similar to Disneyland Paris. Because it’s a very local park, they like to give people reasons to come back. Oh my god, I’ve just seen Flynn Riders there. He’s literally there as you come in. There’s a lot of people wanted to meet him, but Oh, he’s gorgeous. That you will love. You will see. This is so weird. It’s so different. Can you smell it? It smells like sweets. Oh, I’m so glad to be back. It’s so cute. For you when you first came. Uh, no. I think it’s just for this celebration. Wow, Jinx. I love it. This is really good for if it’s raining or anything. That’s why they That’s why they made it. It rained quite a lot, I think. So, it’s like cuz last time I came there was a massive Christmas tree there, so I couldn’t see the castle. Music is like epic. He’s so like, “Come and spend. Come and spend. The merch is so good.” And you will. Don’t worry. There’s a very long line. There’s a picture with the with the donut. Hold it together. Hold it together. Hello. This way. I’m very welcome. Is that right? Yes. This is my first time here. I’ve walked in and I’ve seen you. My goodness. It’s your lucky day. Yeah. I’ve already started to tear up already. Very very exciting. Oh, they’ve even put that on. I know. It’s very cool. I love it. Wow. I’m so happy to be back. The pictures the cast member took are incredible. And how how wild that you would see one of your favorite characters. That is good. So, one thing I need to pre-warn you, they only take one photo of you. Oh, good. When you meet characters, they only take one photo. So, you got to be snatched. You’ve got to Yeah. [Music] I’m already back to waving. I know. I’m already back to waving saying Subarashi. I love Subarashi. Oh, I’m so pleased to be back. And I bet you’re pleased to be here. I am. I’m literally can’t believe that the castle would just like get very close. I love the fact that Asmer Miranda was the thing that was going to tip you over the edge. But also, um, Jolly, the Feast of Fool’s host, is supposedly walking around. But was she just saying that? I think she was just I think she was building the plot. Oh, no. If you go up to cast members roaming with little bags that have vanilla pea sweet thing and you say Pala Palooa, they give you a little sweet palooa. Kawaii. Thank you very much. Oh, he’s so much fun. It’s chaos here, but the sweets are coming. Look, it’s so cute. Partner statue and added to the collection of Gary pictures. Yeah, the early parade people are already out waiting for their spots. Oh, it’s lovely. This is brilliant. I can’t believe like they’ve put so much effort into all the props and everything. It’s great. There’s also a mini parade that’s part of this uh celebration as well. So, we’ll hopefully be able to see that in a few days time. I love it. It’s so good. As you’re wondering towards the castle, you might see these little these little dots. If you book a premier access to watch certain fireworks or parades, you’ll be seated on this dot. Okay. So, you actually have like a designated spot to go to. A dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep. as we’ve got attraction passes. Uh so we’ll be able to get on at least three things without waiting in line today, which is great. Um because even though this is the quietest time, it’s still, you know, there’s still people around. So I suspect there’s still going to be wait times for stuff. Oh, I’ve seen a be. Um good for you, Gary. Quack quack. I wonder what quack is in Japanese. Oh, they’re coming really close. I know fluffy is fafwa. Oh, we’re entering the Beauty and the Beast area. Um, Enchanted Hotel with Beauty and the Beast is unfortunately under refurbishment whilst we’re here. So, we won’t be able to go on that. But a reason to come back for Gary. I recommend before going to any dining location, you check the menu on the Tokyo Disney app or the website just to make sure that there’s stuff that you actually want cuz there’s normally only three or four options to choose from. Um, so before we go in, I’m just going to double check that Gary is actually going to enjoy dining here. So, this one is a standby way. There are some restaurants in Tokyo Disney that you can do a mobile order for. Um, that that comes in quite handy with the language barrier and everything. Um, if you can just stick to mobile order places, but I didn’t get a chance to come in here last time and it looks really cool. Do you remember that time we were hiding out in the Disney World one from the stall for hours? On the Tokyo Disney app, you can actually look at the wait times for certain restaurants. So if we click on there, go to Latavan de Gaston where we are menu and then we can have a little look in English which we love. I must compliment that Tokyo Disney has been very good recently in improving the accessibility for English speakers both in the app and also on the website as well. There’s also just a lot of cast members that I think are being trained more English as well. As if by magic, we have our food. It was very very efficient. Beyond efficient and fast. Even said it’s very hot. They also have some trays and stuff like that. So, if you need help carrying anything to the table, you can pick them up here. We’ve each got a crocosure. Um, I did want to try the beef pie. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be like fatty meat inside there. So, I just wanted to try it. Um, we’ve also got some little potatoes each and I love these cups. Like you pop the little lid there and so it becomes like a little sippy lid. How good’s that? So, all of that was £4,160 which works out at £22. No. Yeah. So, it’s £10 each for like a a proper lunch and something else to try as well. These potatoes are amazing. They’re oniony. But like nice. Really, really good. Turkey Disney, let’s try your croc monsure. Oh, wow. That’s incredible. Oh, yeah. Did you hear the crunch on that? Potatoes. Five drink. Five. Amazing. Five across the board. I’m definitely going to devour the croc monure, but I would like to try the hunter’s pie. So, this is beef. It looks like this. It’s very crispy, very gorgeous. Like a saucy crab. [Music] All I can tell you is it’s blooming delicious. We don’t know what it is. It’s beef. It’s like a like a like a pasti sort of thing. Outstanding. Yeah. Five out of five. Small disclaimer, the croc monster does have girkin in it. I’m not normally a massive fan of girkin, but in this it’s like sauerkraut tea. It’s really delicious. Um, Tokyo Disney, you’ve started off very good with the booze. Very good. How cool is this? Really cool. Picture in it. I’ve got a picture in your logo. [Music] Well, well, well. That was amazing. Gaston Tavern. Five star. Plus five stars for the value for money, for the flavor of everything. Delicious. Outside is great. We dined early about 11:15 and we didn’t have any problems getting a table. Uh there were the beginnings of people starting to reserve tables and stuff like that, but thankfully we managed to avoid the worst of it. Next to Gastons Davvern, uh there is a little station called Lefu and Lefoo. Lefuz and that is selling apple and caramel churros. They smell incredible. So good. Um, if we hadn’t just eaten, I’d be like, “Let’s get one now.” So hopefully we’ve got space when we next come. This is the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast. It is currently going under refurbishment, which is why this is the quietest season. Master will see you now. No, we won’t. He’s busy. Come back later. Just like Disney World and Disneyland Paris and everything, Tokyo Disney do publicize when their attractions are going to be closed. Um, we did actually debate moving the trip, but I think we just decided that there’s still so much to see and do. Now you’ve been here for all of a couple of hours. Has the like anxiety of coming to Japan and everything completely dissipated? Yes. In a sense of the language barrier and just everything being different. It’s not that intimidating on the actually when you’re here. It’s very similar to the other parks. It’s just like going to Paris for me. Yeah, it is. is quite likely in Paris. And there’s that I’ve noticed there’s to the point where there’s a place there called Bonjour G. Get a basket. Oo. God, it’s so much quieter than the last time I came. Last time I couldn’t film any of this. It was rammed. Oh, this is adorable. Look at that little cushion thing. 3,400. The dog from Beauty and the Beast. Little stationery. We’ve got these little um hand cloths or face cloths that come in a row. 750 yen. That’s like four quid. Wow. Guess how much a penny is here. I don’t know. 1,000 yen, which is like £525. And this one is closed cuz I’d buy this. Oh yeah, you do have a rule about you don’t buy pins unless you’ve been on the thing. No, absolutely not. I think this is a new collection. Oh god, why is it so cheap? This is the part where Gary spends his entire life savings. Oh, a little mirror. That’s cute. 2,100 yen. We’ve got a towel here. Um I want to get some of the um little hand towels for my kitchen cuz I didn’t get any last time and I I really regretted it. 3,500 for a bottle. 1650. Oh, these are cute. Are these little mittens? Look at the mittens. A left. That’s it. That’s the That’s the Duffy hat. I think it’s just a Mickey hat that happens to be Duffy skin cuz Mickey That’s That’s not Duffy. There’s a Mickey ears. I love this jacket. Is it reversible? Oh, that’s lovely. It is as well. 8,900 yen. Oh, we got a large. Have we got an extra large? Cuz that’s the thing in Japan. They only go up to extra large. Ooh, that feel that. Ooh, that is that’s lovely. Mickey, what is this? [Music] Something I just noticed is that the it’s a small world clock is ticking. Last time I came it was under refurbishment, so it wasn’t even ticking. That’s very cool. Uh, right, we’re going to go on Who’s Honey Hunt? Something Gary is very excited about because who’s your one of your favorite characters. Yes. Okay. [Music] Okay. Look at an artist at work. [Music] Oh, you’re in the story. Yeah. Oh, wow. Hello world. Oh, yeah. Right. [Music] Don’t know what to expect. don’t remember your videos, don’t you? Oh, wow. What’s he called? Right. [Music] [Applause] Everything is so well done. [Music] Happy door. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Hello. Oh no. Woohoo. [Music] [Music] The end. What did you think? [Music] Oh, yeah. D. Such a cute ride. Love it. Hippie. And this is where Gary loses all of his money in the Winnie the Pooh shop. That’s amazing. Oh, they’re the little clipon things. 1,800. They go on your shoulder. They’re a new version of like the shoulder pads. You can attach that to your backpack though. That’s so cute. Cuz obviously the shoulder pads rely on magnets. This is just like brute force. It doesn’t suit you. I think I don’t think you’ll mind me saying it doesn’t. Uh how much is that? It’s 3,200. Yeah. Oh my god. Oh no. You look like you’ve had a dental surgery or something. Yeah. That attraction pass saved us a 70inute wait. And you might be thinking, 70 minutes, that’s quite long. Actually, that’s not that bad for Pooh’s Honey Hunt. I think when I last came, it was 120 minutes every single day, all day. Uh, so very good use. Very like the vacation package is already paying its dues. We like that. Somewhere I didn’t get to see last time was Toontown, but this is probably the thing that Gary’s been most excited about. Yeah, you can meet Minnie Mouse in her style studio. Very exciting. Um, there are some vacation packages that include character meet and greets. Buckpiece paint and play house. It’s a 5minute wait. We’re not sure what it is, but we’re going to find out together. All very impressive, isn’t it? Yeah, it’s like being a cartoon. I think we’ve sused out this is some sort of interactive game. We were correct. It is a interactive game. [Music] We get a little gun. We’re going to paint the room. So, mine mine does this. Yours is a button. You push [Music] it. This is fun. I thought there was going to be scores at the end, so I was really dedicated. I think we’re on Donald’s boat right now. Very cool. We do have Meet Mickey here. Currently a 35minute wait. There’s the Good Time Cafe here, which comes highly rated by other YouTubers that I’ve seen. It’s not my sort of thing because the chicken burger is like chicken thigh, but they say it’s good. So, did you taste the water? Very nice. Good. Drinking fountains. Good. Do you want to try out one of their vending machines? Yes. Cuz I really want to try one of the drinks in here. At the back of Toontown, they have these vending machines, but there is this drink that I saw last time, which I think is like it’s like a caramel tea or something, like a maple maple syrup tea or something. Um, so the red ones are hot, the blue ones are cold, and I just thought, let’s try it. So, we’re going to push the button and then it tells you how much, and then you can pay with a speaker card. Hey. And hey, presto. And what did you order? I ordered the the thing on the right. It is warm. It Oh god, that [Music] is weird. I’m assuming it’s like maple tea or something like that. I don’t speak Japanese fluently, so I can’t read that. But let’s give it a go. Nice. Yeah. It’s like a maple warm drink. Maple Maple warm milk sort of thing. It’s nice. Do you want to try it? Maple warm milk. Yeah, that’s the best way I can describe it. It does smell amazing. [Music] It’s strange. I like it. But it is nice. I’m going to give it a four. I’m going to give it a four. I quite like it. Cute. They also have the Roger Rabbit cartoon spin here like they have in California. It’s a small world with Groot is a overlay with some Marvel characters. It’s a bit of a weird queuing system. They just kind of like put you in a group and just send you in. Um that’s a bit like what happened when I went on Pirates of the Caribbean. I found it very overwhelming, but hopefully we’ll be fine. [Music] It says it’s only 15 minutes, so we’re hoping that she’ll take long. [Music] Wow, this is so cool. Wow. This is massive, isn’t it? If this is just their opening, how long is this going on for? I don’t know. [Music] They’ve made like Marvel music. But it’s a small worldyelcome. It’s the Avengers, I think. [Music] [Music] Bye. [Music] No. [Music] That is [Music] brilliant. That’s brilliant. [Music] [Music] [Laughter] This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. [Music] I mean, this is very quickly becoming my favorite. It’s a small world. Yes. [Music] Turn the [Applause] side. Oh, there he is. Where is he? Oh, at the front. [Music] Oh, there he is. [Applause] [Music] [Music] I know [Applause] [Music] there Oh, yeah. A hand group playing the guitar down. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] brilliant. So good. I loved it. That’s my favorite one now. We’ll definitely do that again this trip. Oh yeah, that’s my favorite one. I think it’s my favorite one, too. All the Disney characters in there and and Groot as a goose as a goose goose maid, shall we say? We’ve now got our complimentary return time with the 40th anniversary priority pass that we booked earlier for Haunted Mansion. So on the home screen of the app, I’m just going to touch display code and then I will do this once for me, once for Gary. Okay, thank you. Did he just say it’s really scary? [Music] Do you hear the cries of small children? I do what I do. [Music] That is weird. Oh, wow. wrap on a table. It’s time to respond. Send us a message from somewhere beyond. Oh god. Oh. Oh, this isn’t fun. Actually, this is very different from the Florida one. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] See, based on what I’d seen when I rode it last time during the uh Nightmare Before Christmas layover, I thought it was the same. It’s actually not, which is really cool. I like the fact that they’re different. Gives you a reason to actually see the other parks, you know, cuz I think Disneyland and Disney World are almost identical. I think I only came through here when it was like dusk, so I don’t really see a lot. But they have a train that doesn’t go around the whole park, but like goes around a fixed area within western land, I think it is. Uh they have the Mark Twain river boat, and you can see Splash Mountain over there, which we’re going on in a bit. It looks like they’ve got a Tom Sawyer’s Island as well. Wow, very cool. Relax. We’ve only just done the Disney World after God knows how many years. I think we’re going to use our eligible attraction pass from the vacation package on Big Thunder Mountain. Big Thunder Mountain is always my favorite attraction. [Music] You can’t film on the roller coasters in Tokyo Disney. So, we will see you when we get off. Very smooth. Very smooth. So smooth. Like it’s just like gentle hills and everything and it doesn’t whip you about. you though cuz if you’re from the west and you’re used to the Disney World, Disneyland and everything, obviously you go straight up at the beginning, but if you turn a corner in, you’re like, “Yeah, you spiral down.” It’s really cool. And like I just I love the theming of this one as well. I never really know what’s coming. We love the wave. We always do the wave. Hello. Shouting at a move stroke. Stroke. All the people in their cute outfits in there. No, look. Happy camper supplies. The body dangling out the back. Oh, look. Hi, Dewey and Louis. Oh, that’s cute. You never see stuff. [Music] These don’t suit me. These hats, though. A bucket hat. [Laughter] Yeah, man. There’s a mirror there. That was a horror. It takes your eyes out. [Music] How tired are you? On a scale of one on a scale of 1 to five. On a scale of 1 to five minus 7. Yeah. to match the feels like weather weather thing. Hi, Mo. Hello, Mo. This is so cute. We’re in line to get a curry popcorn. A long line was not going to put me off. I’ve been thinking about this popcorn since I left. But the good thing is the lines move quite quickly. And we have the voucher with a big cation package to use. So, we get the popcorn case and we also get a regular box of popcorn included. So nice. So, it’s really good quality and it’s waterproof. So, it’s water resistant, I would say. Velcro. It’s got a strap, so you can put two of these in it. Yes. So, this is what the regular popcorn box looks like. If you wanted to buy this, I think it’s 400 yen. Um, but yeah, you can fit two of those in there. And there’s a little space to put wipes in the top. What? You can’t actually buy these. These are for the vacation packages. Yeah, they have a version you can buy. Um, and then I also got the tongs. Yes. Can you see in the thing the little tongs, not get curry claws? And then you can get the popcorn. Taste test. Oh, as good as I remember. I have never been happier. I I’m so happy with yourself. Well, I sort of am. I sort of am. I need to make a a a personal plea to the other parks. Disney World, Disney Paris, center parks, I don’t care. Please come up with curry popcorn. I don’t know how they do it. It’s so good though. I can’t even tell if it’s butter plus curry. Whatever it is, it’s amazing. It is time to exit stage left before we pass out because we still got a room tour to do. [Music] Oh gosh, it’s so far to get back to the hotel. Oh wait, it’s right there. Don’t worry, I’m being [Music] dramatic. Well, they’ve got Mary Poppins Returns music [Music] on there’shere to go but up. Whilst we’re heading up, we’re going to stop by the merchandise store to pick up the Disney Vacation package complimentary goodies, which we’ll be able to show you when we get to the room. Um, and then also we’re going to pop into the convenience store just to make sure we got some food for the room because one thing that my friend told me before I came last time is because of the jet lag and everything, you’ll just randomly wake up at 3:00 a.m. and be absolutely starving. And that’s exactly what happened to me last time. So, we need to make sure we’ve got something in the room substantial to just eat in the middle of the night if we have to. Um, and then we’ll be heading to Tokyo Disney tomorrow. Oo, Fantasy Springs. Oh, now that’s exciting. The vacation package gave us these little vouchers to redeem our shoulder bag each and then also an original goods voucher. So, we get a little choice which we’ll hopefully be able to show you. And we’re going to pick up from the Disney mercantile store. There are a few stores that you can do it, but all the resort hotel um merchandise stores seem to do it. You’re not worried about their heating. No. The magic book. Okay. Two. Two. So, uh, what do you want? I will have one. I think you want that. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, the fancy bag. One of the ones that clips onto you. Oh, is it? Yeah. Oh, that’s good. So, he’s So, that’s the that’s the Mickey um vacation package outfit that he’s wearing. Oh, they have a restaurant on the ground floor called Cana. Um let’s have a little look. Wow, it’s beautiful. But they also have the convenience store on the ground floor which is called Looking Glass Gifts. So we’ve got dry goods and they’ve also got some essentials in this store. Um but they also have a nice selection of sandwiches and stuff and also um Japanese sort of lunch things. So they’ve got ramen and stuff. So if you wanted to use the kettle to add some water to that, you definitely could. They have these things which I absolutely love. They’ve got tuna mayonnaise, which is my personal favorite. And then they’ve also got spicy cod. And they sometimes have a salmon one as well, which isn’t here right now. We’re feeling brave and shopping noodles. So, there’s a whole selection over there, but there’s also some of these, which I don’t really know what we’re looking at because most of it is in Japanese, but we’re just going by the pictures. There’s a good selection of uh drinks in here as well. So, I’m going to get some Coke Zero because this is one of the only places you can get it in the convenience stores. That’s the Sherwood Garden restaurant. as we’re going for breakfast tomorrow. We’ve got a little haul from the convenience store. This is going to be a convenience store dinner for tonight and also just things in case we happen to need them in the room. Japanese Mickey. Japanese Mickey representing. Oh, such a good view. Wonderful. The Tokyo Disneyland Hotel offers some themed rooms. They have a Beauty and the Beast theme room. They have Cinderella, Alice Little Wonderland, and they have some suites as well. I think there’s a Walt Disney suite that’s just crazy expensive and everything. Tada. Yeah. Look at you. I’ll take a picture of the door so I do not forget. Here we go. It’s really big. Uh, wow. Okay. It’s very themed. Oh, yes. This is a bit of me. Camp. Camp. Camp. This is like if Alice in Wonderland did drag. Wow. Oh my god. Look at the lamp. Oh, that’s really That is insane. That is fabulous. The white rabbit under Oh my god, it’s so cool. It’s going to be like a little alco. I know. It is time for a room tour. I’m so excited. A Alice and Wonderland themed room at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. This accommodates up to three guests in an al cove room which has two single beds and one al cove, which we’ll show you in just a moment. As you come in, you have this lovely colorful wallpaper and a mirror on the left hand side with your vanity and loads of our stuff. And loads of our stuff. Um, on the right hand side as you come in, you have the bathroom. This is so good. Tweedle D. Tweedle dumb. No way. Oh my gosh, that’s so cool. Yeah. And then this is one for me, one for you. Yeah. Well, no, because one is the wet room. Ah. And one is So this is basically they have a rainfall shower. They have a fixture to put this head on there. You actually prefer to use that, don’t you? Yeah. Yeah, I like the rainforce. Look at the toilet. It’s got Who are you doing the poo and the Japanese space toilet we love with a little thing how to squirt your bum. So I think to my recollection this is the pressure. So you want to make sure that that’s quite low the first time you do it. And then that’s to actually clean do the cleaning. Uh one of them is flush. I think they have different levels of flash, right? And then this one controls it forwards and backwards, so if you need to aim. Complimentary amenities. We have toothbrushes, amenity kits, which have cotton pads, uh little cotton tips, and also a hair scrunchie in there. We are in it for the tin, I think. Yeah, we’ve got some cups. Very cute. Very cute. Uh there is a hairbrush in there you can take home. also a hair dryer they can use. They’ve got some washcloths. Um I did I did use one of those. They they smell a bit weird, don’t they? Yeah. But they have um on the hand towels they have TD T is it TD cage? Tokyo Disney hotel. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. Yeah. Uh they’ve got some plastic cups for you to use and then also kids toothbrushes in there. Very nice. There’s a little trolley that you can put some stuff on to wheel around. A little stepping stool and also a bin there. And then as we come into the cupboard, we’ve got hangers, spare pillows. Oh, they look quite nice actually. Um, some slippers. Very nice. Very cute. Luggage rack. Uh, shoe horn brush. Brush. And then we have the tea making station or coffee making station. You’ve got some I think that’s green tea in there. Coffee stuff. kettle, ice bucket, cups, more Alice in Wonderland uh concept art. Very nice. There’s also a fridge in here. Uh and I’m pretty sure Oh, we didn’t need to buy those waters. I thought that was a concierge thing. Turns out it’s an every room thing. Oh, wow. That’s nice. Although the ones that you bought are Mickey Mouse and character ones, so good. Yeah, for the pictures. Then there’s a full length mirror on the other side there. Coming into the main room, we’ve got two lovely twinsiz beds. I didn’t even realize that the lampshades are her dress. Oh my gosh. Yeah, that’s so wild. I think How do you turn these on? There’s a button. There’s a button somewhere. Uh, unless No, I did this last time. I remember now. It’s on the clock bed. bed. Oh, wow. Look at them. Room. Oh, room. Oh, wow. They’re actually blue. So good. That’s very cool. Got playing card details on the bed runner. Uh we’ve got hearts on the little bed pillow there. I love the wallpaper. It’s very funky. Um in the drawer in the middle, we have some complimentary postcards that Gary will be thieving. Have you seen these yet? No. Look things. Oh, they’re really nice. They do a good job here, didn’t they? They do. I just like the fact they do freebies. Everything is perfect. Duffy the bear. I’ll be seeing you soon. Hopefully. Hopefully in the next 24 hours. Wake up. If you can wake up. You got a little notepad there again. Gary, there you go. Congratulations. messy boo. Uh, and then I think there’s a torch in here in case the power goes out. Uh, these are mainly for earthquakes, but you can use them as a little nightlight if you need to. A little cubby space down there. Uh, I don’t There’s no space underneath the beds to store luggage. Oh, no, wait. I don’t know why. There is a little bit of space. There’s little bags here. Just on that side there’s a trundle bed. So, there’s a bed that comes out of here. I’m going to correct myself. I said earlier you can sleep three guests. You can sleep four al cove bed and then trundle. So another bed in there as well. We have a mirror. We have some very funky chairs. And there’s a bag. And there’s a bag. It’s a shopping bag, isn’t it? Yeah. It’s a little tote bag. Do you want to open it and show the show the vlog? La Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. Very nice. It’s quite good. Put your little bits in around the house. Well, also because they charge for shopping bags, I think the idea is that you take it out and then you buy your you put your you put your goods in there. I’m obsessed with this lamp. It is so clever. I like I found someone has to come up with that and then install it. Can you stop ruffling, please? I was trying to put it back together, but it’s like a weird Rubik’s cube. It won’t go back. Concept art there. This is the thing that turns into a bed as the al cove. As you can see, it is in an al cove. Uh, and then we’ve got the what you is it just the rabbit? It’s the white rabbit. Mr. Rabbit uh on the dresser. And we’ve also got the pajamas, the safe, drawers, and then obviously a nice big TV. And uh that’s the room tour. We made the mistake of lying down, but the second I laid down, I was like, “Oh, look at the ceiling. It’s got like all this fancy detailing and stuff like that. That’s really cool. It goes in on itself.” So, we are now going to shower and everything. And then we will show you what we eat, if we eat at all, because as of right now, I could literally close my eyes and be gone for the world. So, the view is of the car park, it looks like, and the bridge over to the rest of the bay area. Um, one thing I also forgot to do was the towel toucher. Let’s find out how good these towels are. Yeah, good. Four solid four. Very nice. Whilst Gary’s in the shower, I thought I’d take this opportunity to show you what the Disney vacation package towel looks like. It comes in this cute little travel case that actually looks like a case. Love that. Very cute. Oh, that’s good. Oh, I really like that. That’s That’s really Yeah. Nice. Cozy. You in the pajamas? Yes. You look like you’re in Greece. I’m just plain Sandra D. when they’re doing the sleepover. Review of the flight. Really good. Um I am doing a direct comparison to Japan Airlines and British Airways on this pis. But you go four out of five if I say you’ll go four out of five. Food was really nice. Do you know what? That mozzarella tomato omelette was delicious. I’ve never had a breakfast on a flight that tasted that good. Uh, I think overall it was like the British Airways flight was still expensive. I’m gonna say a three out of five. I think it did the job. It lost a point for me because the plane was old. It lost a point for me because the plane was old and the screens were very slow. Not that I watched anything anyway, but as always Yeah. But like even on the Japan Airlines seat in the premium economy, you had like a little thing that popped out to lift your legs up. Oh, right. which just made it a little bit more comfortable. Um, but also they lost the point for me because I just think like the cabin crew, they did the job, but I don’t know. I’ve just had other cabin crew with Japan and they were just more attentive Atlantic more attentive, right? And it might just be down to like they were young crew or something like that. But, you know, I want to be honest. I want to be transparent. We’ve paid the money. We want to tell you, you know, whether it was worth the money or not. So, who would I choose in the future? Yeah, I think it depends. I think you I don’t think you would appreciate the Japan Airlines food. Food. Look how good this shot is. Look at that. I know. Isn’t it so good this room theme room? We love it. You did good. Thanks. You did good. You did good, kid. You did good. You did good. Loved this. Um, we Did we have any highlights? Highlights? Well, you got your curry popcorn. Curry popcorn was my highlight for sure. And mine was I think just as we walked in and Esmeralda was there and it was like well that’s the the thing that nearly made you really start balling. Yeah. I was just got started tearing up. I was like this is a lot. This is intense. But we will next be seeing you when we go to Tokyo Disney Sea and Fantasy Springs. Can’t wait. All I’ve heard about since he got back months ago. So that was the video that made you think all right yeah I would be up for going sort of thing and I was like don’t worry girl it’s already booked. Yeah. So cuz I was very worried about the distance and everything and the the but the good thing is we’re here. We are here. I’ve made it. The flight was a bit difficult at times. I did sleep on and off which you didn’t. I don’t call this sleeping. That’s what living with an anxiety disorder is like. You’re just on edge all the time. I know, but like you constantly have a heart attack every every five minutes and they’re like, “Oh, Jesus.” Anyway, anyway, it’s been a pleasure having you along. 1. Nice to see both Adam and Gary! Laughed at Gary in the shower trying to catch the imaginary dollar bills. There is a show on TV where they put a well known actress Whoopi Goldberg in a glass booth with dollar bills blowing around and she has to grab as❤ many as she can which will then be given to a live audience member.

  2. I wish I could give this vlog a thousand likes. Why did I start crying when you tell us Gary C. Is going to Japan with you?!?!
