I put these monstera leaves in a book to press because they were dying but pretty and I wanted to save them. I did not notice any other pressed leaves or flowers when I put them in the book. I just pulled them out and I found sixteen weed leaves and a flower that I pressed six years ago! I can't believe I didn't see these when I put the monstera leaves in the book and I can't believe my mom didn't throw out the weed leaves in the books when she found them lol. I no longer have an interest in growing weed (very finicky plant, not for me) but this is evidence of the last time I got into gardening and houseplants. It's cool to have because I wasn't able to grow plants again for a long time until I moved recently so it's awesome to find. I still have part of the plants I loved six years ago that I had to let go of, it's nice

That’s some monstera plant, mind sending a cutting? 😉
lol monstera huh ?!
Wow they stayed so green.
Only plant I have ever pressed is a four leaf clover I found as a kid, but it has turned brown in the 25ish years since then
Hahahah why is it NSFW
Noice
Wow!!! That’s some skills!! Yours leaves are gorgeous!!
Is that a weed?
Ha! I found some weed leaves in my big flower pressing book not long ago. They were way older than 6 years but still fairly green.
Lmao I wondered what kind of monstera would be NSFW but then scrolled on 🤣
Once, as I’ve been told, in the early 80s, my brother took a big book about Native American foraging plants to show and tell. A giant leaf fell out in the middle of his presentation. Needless to say, my parents got pulled in for a meeting. Apparently it had traveled with them from Honolulu to Seattle well over a decade before and they just forgot it was there. Fun times
Wait. Weed is finicky? No one told my plants that… My calathea is definitely more of a punk than my cannabis plants have been.
That’s cool man, I have some specimens from 12 years ago still rocking in a college ruled notebook
They can last a LONG time.
My dad was going through some of his stuff from college with my brother a few years ago. My brother thumbed through a book, and found a weed leaf. *From 1972-74*. Still a surprising amount of green! I assume the lack of exposure to light contributes to that?
Very finicky plant? 🫤 it might be the easiest thing in the world to grow. They say it grows like a…..weed lol
