Am I the only person who NEVER follows the instructions on the packet? And although growing wildflowers is easy, there are just a few rules you really do have to follow – this one being the most important.
Autumn (or fall) is a good time for sowing wildflower seed and in spite of my mistakes I have really loved my wildflower beds.

here I have planted three different seed mixes in the three different borders and I can see that I’ve made a couple of mistakes all of the companies have good instructions on how to sew the seed they tell you how much seed you need to sew per square meter but I completely ignored that and a whole packet of seeds went over each of my borders what that means is that you get too many plants germinating and the vigorous plants out compete the plants that are less vigorous so you may actually miss out on a whole category of plants and if it’s a wildflower seed collection which is due to flower over different times over a number of months you may actually miss out on some of your flowering

Beautiful
That's awesome, dense planting or sowing
what is the purple one in front of you and showing up at the start of the video? (not the cornflower or borage)
The very blue-pink flowers are Viper's bugloss or Echium vulgare. Several people have asked.
Nice!❤
I planted borage a few years ago…now I can't get rid of it. It's everywhere!
This is exactly why I buy separate seed and create waves. Here in Canada, these mixes are June wow, and weedy July, August and some September.
Delightful video.
So beautiful!!
Planting "mixes" is a lovely way to introduce invasives & other problematic plants into the area, especially if you have no idea what you're doing.
Mixes are compost or birdseed as far as I'm concerned. Not worth the trouble (of eliminating your own choices).
It still looks gorgeous!
Wonderful
Great British English ❤❤❤

Maybe so, but your garden still looks absolutely beautiful and I wish I could grow that kind of a garden myself. I love the different colors.❤

It's so beautiful ❤️😍❤️
This is how you end up with invasive plants. Plant intentionally plant native
Good advice, thank you!
Lovely tips! As someone who enjoys both gardening and fostering a natural habitat for pollinators, I find these simple suggestions incredibly valuable. Will definitely be applying them in my own small garden. Thanks for sharing this essential knowledge! 🌼🐝
Just lovely!! If only my mistakes could turn out that beautiful 😂
This woman reminds me of our Queen Elizabeth II. Very interesting, sharp and kind speach. ❤🎉😊
Our botanic garden does such meadows and they're hugely popular
I actually enjoyed looking at your "mistakes", looks perfect to me.
