AI vision has detected common broadleaf weeds. Broadleaf weeds generally don’t really need to be identified for the purposes of controlling them in a lawn. The vast majority of broadleaf weeds can be controlled with 3 way herbicides, which are herbicides that contain 3 of the following active ingredients: 2,4-d, dicamba, mcpp (mecoprop), mcpa, fluroxypyr, triclopyr, quinclorac, carfentrazone, etc. Note: triclopyr and fluroxypyr are especially useful for hard-to-control broadleaf weeds such as clover, ground ivy, and wild violets. Repeat applications of any product are typically required in cases of severe infestations/mature weeds.

It kind of depends on your budget but here’s a few questions that probably need answers before replies start coming in.
– what is your budget?
– do you have an irrigation system?
– pets that will have regular access to the yard?
– I see your climate is northern US/Canada, that’s good. Do your neighbors have a common grass type at their homes that seems to grow well?

There is a cool season grass guide that the auto mod often throws in. Take a look on this sub for that. Tons of good guidance.
Step 1 is to stop watering your weeds lol
First off my guy spray all those weeds out until they’re crispy dead then go ahead and remove those dead weeds. Then till that dirt and add in some black hummus. During this time, make sure you grade it out and move it around and angle it the way you need it before adding sod or seed.
I would move
lol at the sprinkler
Till everything, start in small sections. Don’t water and let everything dry out.
Start the yard new using a mixed grass and clover starter. Clovers will add nitrogen to the soil, this will help your grass grow and inhibit weeds from out competing the grass.
I recommend getting leveling rake, black hummus and sand to make the ground flat, after your till.
