Hey everybody, welcome back to the channel. Today’s video we’re going to be putting up a trellis on this raised bed right here behind me. So come on along. Let’s get to it. All right, so I need some more trellis space and so I decided go ahead and put up a trellus here on this raised bed here. I figured that since I’m growing sweet potatoes in the bed itself, I can trellis something up the backside right there and um and just kind of utilize that vertical space, you know. So, um I may do the same thing on this one as well. Um but that’ll be for, you know, a later date. But, um I don’t I don’t really know how I’m going to do this. I kind of got something in my mind, but uh uh just come along with me and hey, I’ll figure it out. Okay. So, right here, what I’m doing is um that 4×4 is not attached to anything. It’s just sitting on top of another 4×4 that I used to make the uh the raised bed out of. So, I’m attaching that to the bottom 4×4 right now. So, right now I’m going to put a few screws on the outside. Um, and those screws on the outside really hold it tight. So, I kind of did not need to do those uh supports on the inside, but hey, it it won’t hurt. Now I’m going to do the other corner. Um, I had to cut down some some 2x4s so that I can make those inside um supports like I did on the other corner. [Music] All right. Well, I got those two parts up. So, I think I’m just going to sit this cattle panel up on top of this uh this edge right here. And then I’ll be able to tack that with this pole. Yeah. Yeah, let’s do that. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Oh. Oh. Oh. [Music] All right. So, I’m going need to put a support right there in the middle. I’m going to use this. No, that for that. Let me use this over here. [Music] All right, we cooking with Crisco now. Starting to look like something. All right, ready to sprint. Oh my god. [Music] Man, look like I know what I’m doing. What y’all think? Look all right so far. Now, see what I’mma do now. I’m going cuz that’s 16 foot that cattle panel. I’mma cut a section. I’mma cut that end off and make it go this way. So, I’mma have tus going that way and trellus on that end as well. I’m gonna hit this on the back real quick cuz I I know I shouldn’t be stepping in my bed. Don’t Don’t get on me in the comment section. Think that’s going to be all right. All right, I’m getting out. I’m getting up. All right, so I got that side up for the most part. Now I need to cut that and make this get it cut. I’m going to cut this all the way back to there. Let me get on the other side. Ready? Ready. So, I’mma have to come around this way and end up cutting that on the end. So, I need to attach Oh, I know what I need to do. I need to cut that down. Make it like a 4×4. Put it in that corner. Then take that board I got left over. cut it so that I can brace both sides there. I can brace that side over there. So, let me get this cut down. [Applause] All righty. Now, I think I need to chop this down. Let me I’m not going to do that. I’m just put these screws in this way. And since I’m doing since I’m doing brace it, I think that’ll be good. [Music] [Applause] Oh shoot. I need to do Need to put that up here. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Yeah. Hey. Hey. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Man, I might be something like a carpenter over here. Y’all see me nailing them things [Music] in. I wonder if I need a middle one like [Music] Peace. Yeah. [Music] [Music] Yeah. Heat. [Music] Let me see now. I don’t like this. So, I think I’mma have to I got some wire. What wire? I got wire right here. I can wire this together. Damn. Let me get something to cut this with. telling you I’m something like my guy. just something like I mean, you know, you ain’t you ain’t gonna put it on better homes and gardens, but I tell you what, it’s going to get the job done. Let me cut this end off now, cuz I don’t want that sticking out there. Man, oh man, my clumsy butt. I will definitely definitely uh deposit some meat on that Joseph. All right, let’s see which way this thing turn. [Music] I can’t accept the loss. I’m hardheaded. There’s a little bit of madness to my method of any falling off that fine line that I’m treading. I risk anything to be great and I’m not letting nobody rob me of my victim. Number one, that’s what I’m meant to defeat when by any means only thing that makes sense to me. I can make nice or make history. I got that dog in me. Yeah. Turn me up. Big energy. Got the crowd going up. Let me take y’all down off of here real quick, man. Look at Look at that. Got me a trellis up there. And I got me some beans down here. So, let me show you what I got. Got my little baggies like I’m a like I’m a drug dealer over here. Um, hey for the YouTube algorithm, this is not drugs. I’m just addicted to it. Hold on. Let me let me get a better handle on this. All Let me turn Let me get you turned around. Right. So, right here we have some uh these are called Where are they at? Good mother stalard uh pole beans. All these right here are are pole beans. Um right here we got the 1500 year cave seeds. So these were found in a cave I guess that was 1500 years old and they had some seeds in it and these were some of them. And then right down here, we got some sucker seeds. Y’all know what sucker? Y’all know that like that that cartoon used to come on. Suffering sucker. I know y’all know what the cartoon is. Go ahead and comment below what that cartoon is for the sucker. And then right here we got um they called speckled southern cow pee. All right. So, I’m going I’m going to plant those around the edges here. So, I got to figure out how I’m going to do it cuz I got four. And so, I think what I’m going to do is the 1,500 the 1500 year old peas or beans and the good mother stalard I’mma put along this side over here cuz I want the most of those. And then the suotach and the uh cow peas I’mma put over there cuz I don’t need as much of them. So, let me go ahead and get the planting power. I’m have to plant these to the thing cuz I don’t want to walk up on there no more cuz I’ve been got up on me. Get up on me. Pull up on me. That’s what kids say. And shoot. I don’t like this. I’m going to get over here and step on this side. Put two on each cuz I saved these two years ago. Just in case, I’m going to put two in each hole. Right. So, we got those done. Oh, any seed that’s was in a 1500 year old cave and still viable, you got to save that seed. You have got to save that seed. I probably should only put one down in there. I mean, it’s only been two years. If they found it in a 1500 year old cave, shooting, my little two years that I had it, these things should be good. I crop some of these seeds. These things is valuable, y’all. If y’all not saving seeds, man, y’all got to save seeds. I gonna never have to buy these seeds ever again. Um, and also if y’all want to swap any seeds, let me know. As you can see, I got a whole bunch of these. Um, I don’t have as many of the succashach and the cow peas, but I got a whole bunch of seeds. I’m saying I’m only going to do three over here. I’ll do three of each over here. [Music] All right, let me get off of there. Man, I done stomped that joker down. That’s all right. I’m going I’m going to fluff it back up before I put my sweet potatoes in there. All right. I did a sucker pass down here. Oh, I did it backwards over here. I did the small one at the top, the big one at the bottom, but be all right. I ain’t taking it back apart. All right, y’all. That’s a nice little project. So, if you got some wooden raised beds, and look, these raised beds about to fall apart and uh I was still able to do this. The main thing that helped me to be able to do it, which you don’t need it, but I put these when I put these together, I put this 4×4 down here and and it allows me to be able to sit another 4×4 on top of it to add if I wanted to add like another layer on top. And so that made it easier for me to uh to make this having that that 4×4 there so I could just sit another 4×4 right on top of it. Um really I probably only had to drill from the outside in some screws to attach that because it’s I I totally forgot about it. It’s it’s going to be attached to this right here too which gives it strength. So, it ain’t going nowhere. The only issue is if you had something real heavy right here, it gets a little loose on you. But I think what I’m going to end up doing is I’m going to take another 2×4 and I’m going to attach it to the outside right here. And then take another 2×4 and put it on the outside of that all the way down here to the to the ground up to about right here. And that’ll give it some more support. It ain’t going nowhere then. I could do probably some sugar baby watermelons on here and it still wouldn’t go nowhere. But yeah, man. That’s a cool little cool little uh design there. I never thought about it until today. So, this is in real time. And I didn’t go out and buy nothing. Everything that you see was something that I probably I this used to be part of my chicken coop. The first chicken coop I made three years ago. This was part of it and and I reused it today. This one and that part down there, I reused it today. Most of this most of this lumber was from that chicken coop. And I reuse it today to make a trellis. And you know what? When I’m done with using it here for the trellus, I’m gonna keep it and I’mma use it for something else cuz that’s how we do it. Man, it’s going to look good with the sweet potatoes in here. And then with the uh beans trellus on the back, I can harvest them from the outside. Yeah, buddy. All right. Well, that’s it for this video. Uh quick little trellis that uh I think going to work out really, really nice. Uh, hope you enjoyed the video. It’s a little different than my normal video, but during the summer, I like to do little projects like this. So, you’re going to see more of that going forward. But, um, yeah, things are going. Got Oh, man. I got so much growing. I got to do another update on you on what I got growing cuz man, it seemed like week to week it just it just explodes. So, um, I’ll go over that in another video. But, uh, yeah, that’s it for this one. Hope you enjoyed it. If you did, hit the like button. Subscribe to the channel. I ain’t got to tell you. Subscribe to the channel. You’re still here. Subscribe to the channel. I ain’t I ain’t I ain’t being mean to you or nothing. I’m just, you know, I’m just saying it’d be nice to subscribe. All right, y’all. Uh, do all the YouTube stuff. Don’t forget to check out my affiliates, Brunt. Oh, I didn’t tell you about my hat. Yeah, this this this hat is from uh it’s from Grunt Style. Yeah, buddy. You get 20% off of your of your order on most items. Not on sales, not on um anything that’s already, you know, marked down, anything like that. just check it and see if it if you get a discount. That’s pretty much what you got to do. So, but most stuff you going to get a discount. Anyway, I’m going to get off of here. I’ll see you in the next video. Don’t forget the [Music] hot. That’s some high quality H2O right there. [Music]

Nice video.
I love that you re-use everything! We all need to see these ideas because all of our brains go different routes….. that's a good pattern for utilizing as much space vertically as you can.
I'd love to swap something for a few of those cave- found beans! Let me know what ya want!
Do you use weed barriers if so what is your opinion
Thank you for sharing, great job. I have been trying to figure out how to build a trellis. How would you do it in the ground without the raised bed. Im just starting out i dont have any beds yet.
