Someone posted that they had an aphid problem on their Rose. I commented that spraying is the wrong thing to do. Here's my evidence, had 5 sparrows in this rose eating aphids very happily for the last hour.
Yep – never bothered treating for pests in my garden. Nature does its thing and sparrows LOVE aphids 🙂

I never kill wasps JUST for this reason too, they loooove aphids

Same thing here but with added tits (great, long-tailed and coal)!
It’s great seeing them all scoffing aphids, best thing is that they seem to learn so do it every year. The tits also spend a lot of time searching for spiders, I don’t mind spiders although I do wish there was some way of encouraging the birds to come inside and do something about the ones indoors 😂
