We started our garden bed with a bit of our homemade compost, so it could be from that but I’m not sure. My heart says lettuce, but reality probably says different 🤷‍♀️

I have volunteer potatoes popping up all over my veg garden, fun times.

It’s a nightshade. You can eat the growths off the roots, though.

Now, the real mystery; what kind of potato is it? Blue? Russet? Red? Yukon? We may never know.

Japanese knotweed. It’s gonna be 18 years and 4 million dollars to eradicate.

  4. To harvest potato the top part should wither first, That’s how you know the roots are ready.

Take it out now and stick it in a milk crate with like an old tshirt, or some hay walls. Itll thrive and be 100% easier to harvest

Definitely potato. Just leave it alone for a few months, it’ll be fine with whatever water your garden there is getting.

When the green part above the soil wilts over like it’s done living, gently pull it up out of the soil. You should have several potatoes way down below the soil level.

Birdseed is growing. It’s gonna turn into a plant with red berries that are poison to animals and humans
