One ice cube a week in the pot. It will last and rebloom for years.

Miss Orchid Girl on YouTube has a lot of really good videos covering repotting and watering. I’m pretty new to keeping them, but basically to water you want to soak the orchid’s pot in water for ~15 min, being careful not to let any water get into the crown of the leaves. Only water when the roots are silvery and wrinkled. When they’re plump and green, you don’t need to water.

They like bright, indirect sunlight. If your orchid’s leaves get a bit red they’ve got too much light. I use a cheap full-spectrum light from Amazon and they seem to like it.

They won’t bloom forever- when the blooms die back, you can cut the stem when it browns. However, they’ll rebloom if you care for them. Once they’re no longer in bloom, I would plan to repot (orchids need bark, or moss if you live in a very dry climate) because the mix does break down and cause root rot, and many nurseries sell them with these weird foam-like plugs wrapped around the roots. Orchids don’t grow in soil in nature, they grow in trees, so they need more space and ventilation in their roots.

I know this was a lot, but seriously, just go watch some YouTube videos from MissOrchidGirl and you’ll be set.

People say these are insanely difficult, and people are crazy. Just water it like a normal plant. I have ~30 orchids in my collection and they get watered the same as all my other tropical plants. There’s a reason *Phalaenopsis* are sold literally EVERYWHERE. They are easy.

Orchids are easy to grow if you don’t overwater them. I water mine once a week. It will eventually outgrow its pot. Google how to repot it and what kind of soil to use. I neglected repotting mine for way too many years. I repotted them this spring. One of them died. But, 2 are blooming beautifully, and 3 more look healthy.
