Everybody I know when they see this says it's lilac, but it seems more like wisteria to me. I really can't tell, though. Which one is it? Thanks guys!

  1. its wisteria :p wisteria flowers hang downwards like that lilac does not (unless it’s heavy) also lilac flowers do not have that little bulb looking thing on their petals

    100% wisteria.

Wisteria is a vine. Lilac can be a bush or a tree.

On the left, glycine, It looks like little orchids with 2 petals at the top that form a sail and a last one at the bottom that forms a kind of bulb. the petals are usually thinner and more flexible. the flowers of the wisteria gathers in a cone that descends. The leaves of glycine are rather elongated, thin and on drooping and flexible branches.

On the right, the lilac, has 4-petal flowers in the shape of a small cross, they are quite rigid. the flowers of the lilac gathers in a cone that rises. the leaves of the lilac are heart-shaped, much like those of a philodendron, and are on very strong branches that rise. also, we usually find the lilac in “tree” without support or tutor while the glycine often needs support

  4. That is the wisteriaest wisteria I’ve ever seen.
