Long story short, landscapers let sod sit on the pallet for 96 hrs. I know they should replace it and they will if it doesn’t take. They have been a headache from the beginning and would like to try everything to be done interacting with them. Any suggestions welcome. Central/southern indiana

Id actually probably slow down you don’t want to
Over water. Grass roots will grow and search for water and if water is constantly ar the surface they wont go deeper. Id also only water 1 time in the mor ing and not very much for a little bit either

I was like, “why is that piece of sod on the side walk?” Then I noticed the “sidewalk” was the dying sod.

Overseed. The grass magically recovers. (Worked for a landscaper years ago)

Wow. So they’ll replace it if it doesn’t take, but you need to pay for all the water to water it daily for a few weeks? Yikes

Just keep it moist and see what happens… giggity

Zoysia goes dormant during colder months so don’t expect it to be green if highs are still in the 50s. Also it will go dormant during drought and stress.

Just want like you would any other new sod… just enough to keep it from drying out and once it’s rooted back down on water
