This plant has been about a foot away from wall-length glass doors leading to a balcony in my apartment building.

For about a year it had slowly browned, I thought it was because I wasn't watering it enough. I now water it every time I feel that the soil is really dry.

I bought blackout curtains about 6 months ago and don't usually open them until 10am. But then those curtains are open until sundown.

I moved it far from the glass doors to see if it was too much sunlight in the daytime that was killing it, but it started to brown even faster. So I moved it back to its original place. It has started to brown more than ever in the last few weeks, back in its original spot its been in for a year.

Could it be that it isn't receiving enough sunlight? Should I leave it in front of the blackout curtains so it gets enough light in the morning?

Have you done a good look over for pests?
How far into the soil do you check for moisture?
Does the pot drain well? Drainage hole and all?

Might be worth checking the roots. Lots of issues are at the root level. I’ve never experienced sunburn on my plants indoors, it’s definitely not having too much sun.

Could also be fungal/viral, kinda suspect this just the way it’s browning all over and in random spots. Might be worth spraying down with an anti fungal like neem oil.

You are watering too often and it isn’t getting enough light. Dracaenas can generally handle lower light but not the varieties with lighter leaves. Usually lighter leaf color suggests a need for higher light conditions.

Dracaenas need to be able to dry out well between waterings. They hold water in their stems to make it through periods of drought. If you are watering too often, it causes those brown and yellow spots and root rot. Does the pot have drainage? If not, it needs drainage. Then I would water well but less often, maybe once every 2-3 weeks.

Either there are fungul attack or root rot from overwatering. So either buy fungicide or cure the root rot.
