When my kids were that young they’d aerate the lawn with the hose set to the jet nozel.

Just an FYI is that aerator isn’t doing much for the lawn. You’ll need something that actually creates plugs.

Same brother! Last Summer when he was a bit over one and a half he’d take the hose from me and “help” water the plants… By spraying it almost vertically in the air. It’s the thought that counts.
