I noticed my Horrida was getting these dry, hard white patches, almost like it was turning into a fossil, so I checked to see if there was something wrong with the base or roots, and found the roots were super dry, almost lifeless. the cactus itself is firm, but there’s a lot of discoloration around the base.
I just placed it back in some gritty soil, blasted it with some water, then put it back outside to see if anything changes. Gets watered like twice or once a month in full sun over
