My favorite thing about my Irises is the smell. I have a white one that smells like a lemon drop.
Sweet Mias DNA must love Fish lol Hello from Newfoundland and yes hot tea
I’m surprised you guys don’t go on fishing trips to get fish to eat
I was born and raised in Oklahoma, and I was raised on sweet tea! Now I live in South Mississippi, and we are still a sweet tea house! LOL! I don't know where in Oklahoma he is from, but it must be North… LOL! Just kidding!
Can you harvest the rollie pollies for the chickens so they don't reproduce exponentially because of their fine dining?
Do you rent out Miah? 'Cause I could use some raised beds like that!
I sure love all those beautiful Irises. Thanks for sharing Jess.❤️✝️🙏🇺🇸
I cannot do sweet tea. If I make a gallon of tea; I only add a half a cup of sugar. If I add any. I prefer lemon in it.
Does all sweet pea smell the same?
Bless you back! And I love that linen dress!!
The carrots are beautiful.
Haha Your idea of not fancy is super fancy to me
Great video 😊 Thank you
What a satisfying comparison. Three years is huge. Good for you!
Jess, I saw your shade cloth on the high tunnel and it inspired me to ask Greenstalk to invent shade cloth for their planters. lol Fingers crossed!
No oklahoma thrives off sweet tea. It's everywhere
Lander is a great school! I graduated from Lander. Congratulations. It’s a wonderful place and close enough to be able to go home. ❤
I know you have a bunch of roses already, but have you considered creating a little Southern style English rose garden area. If you aren’t growing as much food, you could utilize some of the space to create a rocky rosey space to sit and look at. Hint hint 😂 I live a large garden life vicariously through you.
lol don’t forget, in the words of Jess,“real food comes dirty”!
Im also working on a shawl with thin yarn. It takes 15 min to get from one side to the ither right now. That adds a quarter inch to my fabric
Those carrots are amazing. Love seeing your garden growing. Hearts and Flowers coming your way. ❤️💐
Love you should put a laundry sink outside to wash all those vegs off, if you got 2 of them you could soak all those root crops in the 2nd dink, save you tons of work in the house
God Bless happy gardening
Wow!!! That’s a great bunch of carrots 🥕
How did I miss learning Mia was from Oklahoma? Where? I live in north central… Lil town called Blackwell. 🤟
Jess, would you be willing to sell some of your holy basil seed? It is so hard to find the kind you have.
Your third kiddo in college… wow, that's a lot! But you always have a LOT going on, y'all got this!
Lovely suprise this morning. R&R again. 💃🕺💃🕺 Just woken up the 🌞 is finally out and shining Jess in the garden. What else I need for happiness.😊🫶🫂 Thank you Jess to picking up the camera.
My son is on the wrestling team at Lander! Great school.
I have two different types of sweet pea flowers planted this year, and I HOPE they will come up. It's been kind of cold here in Vermont, but they are soooo beautiful in your high tunnel! I really want some blooming around here. Wish me luck, Jess!🌻
I do remember that dress that went viral! I saw gold and white and so does my son. But my daughter and mom see black and blue. Wild!
What amazing progress in three years!
we put a sink outside that drains into a bucket with a table next to it with a cutting board that way you dont have to drag in the dirt also put a shower trype head on the faucet to spray them with
Thank you so much for the soaking info. I couldn't understand why my carrots and rutabaga last year was so floppy.
Does planting under the mulch like that make your seedlings leggy? What do you do to make that work? Hay mulch is working really well for me this year, and I would like to seed with it more.
Absolutely another great day on the Homestead! Blessings Kiddo!🌿💚🙏💕👵
I also grow Zloty Lan Chamomile! Well actually I did several years ago and now it’s everywhere lol! But I don’t mind because I just transplant elsewhere! 👩🏻🌾❤️
Wow! Gorgeous shawl! You did a great job! I'm scared to try anything with thin yarns, but good point about being in a hurry to start something new, lol!🥰💜
Hey Jess! Since you will be visiting Lander check out festival of flowers in Greenwood. Beautiful topiaries will roll out in June and will be all over town!! There woll be a huge Gamecock, Clemson Tiger , elephants, pandas, a jeep , a T Rex and many more!
I love the shawl.
Oh the perennial garden is certainly leaping!!!
Sweet tea is a southern thing. We don’t drink it in New England.
Hi Jessica! I heard you talking about your pill bug problem the last few videos, and I thought I would add my two cents. I set traps like you do with potato bits and orange slices, except I use the pruned leaves of kale, lettuce, swiss chard, etc. I put a thin piece of card board down, like the flap off a box, and put the treats on top and wet it down a bit. If you go out early in the morning when it is still cool, you can capture them on the flap of cardboard and relocate them out of your raised bed. You should move them out by the pond by dumping them in the box that the flap came from – 4 flaps, 4 traps. In this way you can do population control without using any sort of pesticide, organic or not.
Sweet Jess, Your garden tours always put a smile on my face. This year my garden will be small. Several beds are coming apart, and the wood needs replacing. My husband is not able to help with fixing the beds, he had surgery on his left arm. I've made the decision to slow down this season. I'm looking for food grade IBC totes for next springs garden. I'm going to cut the totes in half and make beds out of them. This way, I don't have to purchase more wood.
I LOVE YOUR GARDEN ❤
Wow!!! To see that 3 year difference is incredible, Jess!!! Saw it then, but… WOW!! 🫶🏻
