Hi everyone. I found this out while thrift shopping. I was hoping someone here could tell me the types of plants that would thrive in here, please and thank you?

Terrarium plants, I don’t know many but certain begonias and small ferns. Also, great find! Does it have any markings on it indicating who made it or what one could be purchased cause I would love one!
I saw the Hen Feathers and looked them up, you found a great deal! They are pretty pricey!!

Most would probably get too big very quickly. But you could use it as a kind of propagation station for cuttings, if that’s up your alley.
Very nice! Excellent find.
Have fun with it. Propagation palace!!!

Thank you all. Heading to Lowe’s to see what they have. I wish my small town had a better option for plant shopping.

I am SO jealous. Personally, I’d do some different moss species, mini fittonia, jewel orchids, maybe a biophytum assortment in the middle for some height!! Would make it look like a palm tree. Definitely stick with miniature species, avoid fast growing ground covers like Ficus pumila or quercifolia unless you’re ok with pruning it back weekly, lol

some micro orchids love humidity and would be beautifull in it with moss

This is freaking awesome!
I’d honestly make a really cool terrarium with this. The “How to” guide over on r/Mossariums helped me make my first terrarium (going strong for nearly two years now).
The folks over on r/terrariums would also probably love to see this unique piece and can probably offer good suggestions for plants to go in here.
Editing to add: My selaginella uncinata (aka peacock moss) absolutely took off in my terrarium. Definitely a very happy plant in that type of setting.

String of frogs (or any of the creeping figs) and string of turtles like terrariums!

Cute! Make sure the inside is waterproof. This may have only been painted with a paint that can leach water in or through, potentially damaging that gold surface or that gold paint coming off. You may also want to seal corners and edges where air gets through, but hopefully not impede opening/closing.

If I saw this in real life I would scream and faint

Looks pretty small, something that doesn’t mind frequent trimming. Maybe a Pilea

Pilea cadierei! Beautiful little terrarium plants that would fit perfectly in there!
SolarAmoeba
What is this?! A greenhouse for ants?!

That is amazing!!! I hope to see it filled with beautiful plants!

Fittonias, some types of pepperomias, ferns and begonias. My favorites are monstera dubia and pepperomia prostrata.
