Basically the title. I am a new home owner and very new to lawn care. I am in need of a spreader and was hoping to get some opinions on whether or not this is worth $50.

I just bought it new $150. One use and love it. As long as it’s in good shape very much worth it

There is someone online who 3d prints and sells an upgraded version of that little black plastic arm that rotates (no clue what it’s called).
The one he sells is longer and gets a much better and even throw.
I can try to dig up the link if anyone is interested

This is hilarious, wasn’t this on FB marketplace in Rhode Island? I saw that exact spreader and was considering it lol.

I bought this new after researching several posts, and this one popping up a lot. Really really great upgrade from a scotts.

For $50 this could be a great deal, test it out as best you can though. Make sure the holes open properly, check that the edge guard doesn’t just drop on you mid push. If you do get it definitely try to change the agitator like another commenter mentioned.

I bought mine last year for $100 it was barely used. But I wish I would have spent a little more to get an earthway or even the Spyker sold at Lowe’s.

Hell yeah. Where is it so I can scoop it up.

I had a Echo spreader it lasted quite a while I was a Landscape Maintenance contractor, It got plenty of use. Wheels were durable, never had issues with this spreader.

  8. Can someone more intelligent than I explain why you need one of these at all? Like what’s wrong with hand spreading if you have a normal sized yard?
