I can’t believe how quickly your clematis grew! And how little your hostas have been eaten 😆. Beautiful work!

Okay I need tips on how to grow a clematis like that. Mine has been planted for 3 years now and it has about 4 flowers

How is this making me both calm AND anxious???

    (It’s really beautiful)

Wow! That’s better looking than my decades old garden. Did you plan it out in detail?

  8. Never really looked at this video before posting on here, in the two years since this was filmed some of these plants have really grown, an apple tree in the corner has nearly doubled in size with is a concern as it’s on M26 dwarfing rootstock, or it is supposed to be.

Just wanted to post this to show what can be done in a short time, incredible how fast some plants grow.

How are you growing a snake plant outside?!

  11. Baby_Rhino

Did you have to do much groundwork?

I always hear that new build gardens are a pile of rubble with an inch of topsoil on top. Wondering if this was your experience.

I wanted to get a swing but I couldn’t quiet picture how to place it in my garden thanks for the inspo

  13. Discobastard

    Stunning.

Are there any helpful sites or apps where you can build out bedding plant selections?

  14. Its beautiful, lovely!

Is that vine of Jasmine on the hedge? Or What is it?

Absolutely stunning. I’m not ashamed to admit that I am extremely jealous…..

I have tried for years to grow Acers, Azaleas and Rhododendrons directly in the ground but they just won’t take.
I removed 3ft of top and enriched with an Ericaceous and organic matter mix. I improved drainage and laid a thin barrier mesh to prevent roots from cutting into neighbouring beds.

The acidity levels settled at around pH 4.9-5.2.

I still don’t know what went wrong but nothing grew and eventually I lost about 80%. What could be saved was potted.

Now seeing your results, I think I’m crazy enough to try again!

(Oh and the wisteria growing over the swing is gorgeous)

I’m sure your garden sticks out amongst all the other new build blank canvases!

  18. Far_Bad_531

That is absolutely gorgeous, well done 👏

What an excellent amount of hostas! 😀 And the depth of the border makes it look like it belongs in a stately home. I am going to enjoy trying to work out what some of these combinations are!

  22. Spiderplantmum

Beautiful! The wisteria over the swing seat is lovely

God damn. I’m in the process of getting a newly build house and I’m saving this post for inspiration.
