Rattlesnake; A Love Story

I love her, but she doesn't seem to fully love me. This is my absolute favorite plant (of the 10 or so I have, 3 calathea's) and I cannot seem to figure this rattlesnake plant out.

New leaves will come in, but tend to die off more than reaching maturity. It stays neutral, does not make any forward progress, and it's been roughly 9 months. The leaves that stay look, for the most part, healthy. I've read that crisping could be due to humidity levels too low, but it's in a small room with a reef tank and small planted shrimp cube, so I would imagine the humidity is relatively high. She is top watered once a week to week and a half with watering day being today. Roots look great, and run the depth of the pot.

If I'm being an ignorant owner, I will accept that and will learn from it. If I'm overreacting (which I do often) I will learn from that as well.

Is there something I can do differently to help this beauty grow or keep the leaves that seem to come in and die off?

Second pick for reference of dying leaves, as well as a couple new ones coming in.

I let my rattlesnake dry out before I water it. As of this moment, I can’t recall the last time I watered mine, but I did put it outside andi just remembered that it rained on Saturday.
