Hello! I was given this plant by a friend however the leaves have holes and the new growth is starting to turn black. What can I do for it? It was given to be in a glass jar with just water, is it meant to be just in water? No soil?? It is currently at my desk work desk, doesn’t get too much light only for when I’m in and the light is on

Golden Pothos are so resilient and do well in hydro, semi-hydro, and different soil mediums. They can get root rot if sitting in wet soil and they can die off in water without occasional fertilizer.

The tips can be from lack of humidity, making the leaf get stuck while unfeeling and/or inconsistent watering. They also need a little more than office light if you want it to grow big, otherwise the trailing and small leaves are what you’ll end up with.

You can repot it in chunky medium so it has aeration and water it when it’s dry! Otherwise, you can keep it in water but give it fertilizer since the water doesn’t have anything beneficial for its growth
