I combine ~60% potting soil, ~30% perlite, and ~10% orchid bark to make a well, draining mix. I personally prefer to repot plants shortly after getting them but I know some people prefer to wait so as not to stress the plant out (as it’s already in a new environment).
Also, I am so sorry to tell you this but your plant looks infested with spider mites (they can be seen on the undersides of the leaves). If you have any other plants you’ll want to quarantine this one away while treating it so they don’t also get infested.

Spray it with insecticidal soap or you can make your own-I use peppermint Castile soap water 70% iso alcohol and some kind of oil. Leave it on for a few hours. Spray the soil too. Then spray off with water.
