I’ve never seen thrips in my life until today. Found them on a few plants so moved all 100+ plants into my spare room to use a fogger bug-bomb! Wish me luck. I’m so upset.

Cover the vent and the door with a garbage bag to prevent the fumes spreading

  5. Thrips are a pain to deal with, just when you think you have got them beat, they suddenly reappear and you are back to square one.

The only treatment I’ve ever had success with is Bonide Granules – it’s a system pesticide that makes the entire plant lethal to pests, and is able to kill the adults as well as the larvae and eggs.

Thrips lay their eggs inside plant tissue, which means that sprays and other surface level treatments can’t easily reach them, meaning you have to keep treating every few weeks to prevent a new generation from reinfesting your plants. System pesticides on the other hand are able to wipe out the entire population in a single application, so are much less hassle in the long run.

It’s kind of nuts how many of y’all go straight to chemical warfare before Neam, Copper, or Lady Bugs on your plants.
