Great tips, ❤❤❤❤ for the for the guardian of the garden!
All my holes get bone, kelp, alpha meal, gaia 4-4-4, and worm castings. I add blood meal for leafy greens. Everything gets watered In with Alaska and jacks for 2 weeks until the natural stuff is working. Makes for spectacular veggies and fruits. Top dress every 3-4 weeks.
Seems like a simple organism, the plant, (NPK) like a Cow eating grass! Tells me experience is KEY! Thanks for chipping at the basics for us! Right, nothings easy! End comment.
The mycorrhizae makes a huge difference when transplanting
We have a friend who organically raises goats. We are going to get a large amount of composted manure tomorrow with my pickup truck.
James, that was quite an introduction…you can be so funny! 🤣🤣🤣
Hi James, from a South Jersey girl now living in South Florida. Moved here for my job. I miss the old Jersey homestead where my dad grew asparagus peppers, tomatoes, green beans, corn, plum and peach trees. I pray this is a productive year for you in Tuck's honor.🐶🙏❤
Great information, clearly given. Thank you
James, thanks for all you do, I've been a fan for a while. I haven't ever seen any watering system in the food forest, considering its size how does everything get adequate water? I've been to Jersey many times and I've never noticed an inordinate amount of rain…. 🤣
I like the up, down and all around! I keep getting phosphorus and potassium mixed up. This will help me remember. Thanks!
I have been wishing for this very video for a long time! I have wondered how you fertilize specifically because you have such great results. Love walking the garden journey along with you! ❤❤ To Angel Tuck ❤❤
Thank you for the info it really works on my garden. Been watching 2 grow seasons now. 🤘🏽 let’s go…
Hi James, Renee in mississippi. Love your show and miss the big guy. My question is, how do you feel about using rabbit manure as the added feeding? Sometimes I soak it in water and let it start to bubble. This is my first year to do so. No issues yet
I wish this video had a transcript to print out. So much great information James!!
I like to use a combination of organic fertilizer, as well as a synthetic. I've never had any issues.. .
Always able to help if ya need a day for friends and family to do some work on the new homestead !!!!
As a vegan, I don't want to use blood and bone in my garden, I use "Boogie Brew" compost tea.And I don't spray it on, but water the garden with it. That's in addition to "back to Eden" woodchip tech. Compost tea is even better than just mixing some dry stuff into the soil. Its really kicked started and partially digested .
The Alaska fish fertiizer is a two part system. Look at the Alaska Morebloom. This is where the PK is. YOu can taylor your fish emulsion to your need.
Great video. Thanks. 'thinking about Tuck.
Thankyou so so much for sharing all your wisdom with us!!!❤️🥰👍🙏 please don't stop 🤗❤️
I did the same thing my 1st year and man! There were a lot of plants hanging on but barely produced anything. I laid down wood chips in fall with north spore wine cap mushroom spawn and composting. And then started seeing a ton of worms. Plant volunteers started popping up everywhere. And now I use fish fertilizer and organic fertilizer as well. Much better year 😅
time to get a new dog, James. Tuck is gone, let him go and get a new puppy
Sure, $40 for 11 oz of JP's fertilizer. I'll be sure to buy a bunch.
“Up, down and all-around” is now my mantra. ❤
This was really good stuff. Thanks!!!!
Hi James from BC Canada, 2nd year here dealing with sow bugs in raised beds have been using DE but they still keep coming.
It is Sunday morning in Australia. 🌄 We look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for your excellent video !!!
Blessings to you James and your In-Spirit-Guardian-of-the-Garden. 🐶👑🌱🍓🥬🍅🥒🫑🌶🥕🧄🥦🍒🫐
All of your videos are inspirational and educational. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Miss the young king 💙💙💙💙
You say you started gardening 15 years ago your awfully young you had to have been somewhere around 15-17.
Thank you. I was trying to figure out the fertilizer thing and nothing really broke it down for me. I understand it much better now. I have been desperately waiting for spring. I'm doubling the size of my garden this year and trying things I have never grown before. I'm so excited.
Thank you for all the tips. I feel like I'm overwhelmed and doing lots of things wrong, but this feeling is normal as it's my first spring gardening. I already pulled out two cabbages due to pests (cabbage moth and eggs) . I'm going to try again in the fall when pests are not as heavy in NC. 😊
I simply Must remember next time I'm feeling a little down to come watch a couple of James' videos. His enthusiasm and genuine positive energy is wonderful! Love and Miss you Tuck 🙂
Still frosty here. My poor tomato seedlings are getting crowded in their little pots!
I like the woochip method better, it just seems so much more nature made(everything comes from the trees). Fertilizer is basically mycelium
That is way to much.
Thanks James, you have the best information. I will be starting my garden next spring. Looking forward to it and purchasing a few raised beds from Team Grow along with your other products. I will follow your instructions to the tee. In the mean time, I'm absorbing all this great information. Thanks much.
JP – would love at some point a video on your fertilizer, how it's made, what's in it, etc!
Thank you. So inform. Video. Florida. ( Tajikistan and Russia ).
I wonder if I got mentioned before as a new subscriber 😲
puppy Tuck ❤❤❤❤❤ ! 😄
I love your enthusiasm. You look like I feel about nature and my vegetable garden and flowers. I would do well in the woods with my gardens
those are really healthy looking plants
Lets go
Thank you so much! This video was jam-packed with very valuable and relevant information; perfect timing as well, since planting is in full swing here. I have learned so much from your videos and it will pay off in spades this year. Raised beds, homemade soil, the addition of organic fertilizer and better watering techniques will make for a bountiful harvest, thanks to your tutelage.
❤❤🐾🐾 to Tuck from the Wild Kingdom in North Carolina
Thank you James for sharing this!
Thank you! This was a very informative video with so much practical info – I am a fairly new gardener and love understanding how things work. Also, yes! I am so happy it is Spring and things are growing again. So excited for peas and all the greens.
I’m so excited for my garden this year, just like every other year. This year adding grow bags to see how that goes. ❤️ in memory of Tuck!
Thank you for taking the time to explain fertilization & soil structure clealy. I hope this year's garden will be amazing for all of us, especially if we fully your tips.
Yay spring. I’m doing mainly container gardening for the first time and know it is important to continue to fertilize them. I didn’t pay that much attention to fertilizing when I had another property that allowed me to grow in the ground. There is always something to learn in gardening. The new things I’m are trying blue oyster mushrooms in buckets, fava beans, garlic, radish microgreens, raspberries, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and container apple trees. I’m in Southern California in zone 8b.
I like organic fertilizers because they are usually made from by products, aka: waste.
