We got this monstera from a friend, it had thrips. But it has been 2-3, months and the thrips have been gone for this duration. (But thats why some older leaves look sad and the yellow leaf is half cut up lol.
The leaf in question was fine for the last few months, but now it suddenly started turning yellow.
I'm not sure what caused this. It has been getting warmer. We have three monsteras, this and another smaller one had their oldest leaf tuen yellow.
All of them are in the same room. They don't have any pest.
I'm not sue what the problem is, since I see the roots growing so I guess they are not rotting. Or could it be because it's rootbound. (In the foto I tried to loose them to see if anything is rotting)
The yellowing of the leaf was evenly, if that is important.
The pot has drainage and I mostly water her if needed. (I use a wood stick to see if the soil is moist and water it when it's dry or mostly dry.
I life in Europe so in the winter she didn't get much sun, but she still had growth in the colder season, so I'm confused why the leaf turns yellow now that she gets light. She is in a room where she gets plenty of light.

Ditching old damaged leaves in favor of new growth. Opinions on this may vary, but personally I’d prune the other yellowing ones too.
Since 3/4th of the leaf is gone, the plant is probably using more energy to just stabilise and keep the petiole healthy compared to how much energy the leaf is adding to the plant.
