I really like the height definition the boxwoods bring to the area. Takes it to next level! Nice surprise with crabapple trees too. I hope chicken doesn't take out too many flower heads😅

What a nice surprise for you for an early Mother's Day present. IMaybe Paul or Aaron could take an air gun and blow out the fountains flow points since there seems to be a lot of debris in it. .Is the pump adjustable? Maybe you would benefit from less water flow as well. I think it looks great so I hope it works out for you. Thanks for the ideas on how to solve the problem.

I bet you wouldn't need the chain to go all the way down into the bowl below. Once the water starts to run down the chain, it would continue dripping off it.

My dad used to use putty to create a better lip on the fountain to make it flow better. I think it would be worth a try!!

Hi Laura, your work is fantastic, and the gardens are beautiful as always. However, I'm just a bit concerned about you. Why is your hair splitting or shedding a lot at the shaft and through the length? Are you okay and taking extra care of yourself? Maybe a new or gentler brush or intentional haircare routine and vitamins. I've always admired how thick, color changing and beautiful your hair is. ❤😂
Really like the look of the new boxwoods. It anchors nicely the centre of the squares and adds some interest until you can fill them in

I’ve been wondering if you’re familiar with the Hortsmans Silberlock Fir 🌲 such a beautiful silvery evergreen. I’m in the same region as y’all and I never see them.
Just a thought. What if you took a file and made a deeper groove for the water to follow the chain🤔
Maybe each quadrant could be a single type of annual and then each subquadrant could be a different colour / variety of the main plant type. Kind of like in the Persephone garden.
You should have a prairie tree on each side of the entrance to the dirt lot. Kinda like you just did with your coned box woods
This formal flower garden is satisfying my OCD lol.
I work with fish tanks/pumps, looks like your pump is pumping to hard – can you try a smaller pump or turn this one down a little. Looking at it from here the chains arent noticeable, just the normal flow of the water – I love it and the sound. A small, flat solar light (called solar pucks) would be nice in the bowl for night.
Do you homeschool the children? I've noticed the children making an appearance in almost every video. But I can't imagine you'd have the time to home school with all that property upkeep.

Some kind of understory tree behind each bench would be lovely! Sort of like a hug for the fountain/seating area.
My experience with fountains with that type of bowl cutouts is that they’re never completely level and even when they are the cutouts are imprecise and require constant shimming and re-shimming….they drive me crazy 🤪.

Laura–we received a heavy gauge clear fishing line with our fountain. We ended up not using it, but you might be able to use that. Love the beautiful Spring additions to your gardens and the new boxwoods are perfect.
Can you restrict so much water, turn down how fast it comes out. New adjustable pump
