Bermuda lawn, should I let it grow out so it can produce seeds and seed itself? Cent Tex.

    Turf grasses are generally sterile.

    Looking good.

Plus doesn’t it place more stress on the grass to go to seed?

Bermuda grows best by mowing short. I would mow every few days knocking the height keep it short and it will spread.

It’s Bermuda. That’s the beauty of it… it has 3 different ways to recreate itself and it is low maintenance. Even if they are “sterile seeds” like another commenter said, it can spread above ground and below ground. Rhizomes and stolons can be invasive to some, but work wonders for self-procreation/preservation.

  5. No need, looks great. Just keep mowing consistently

  6. No need. Just water and mow and it will spread. The seeds probably would spread slower than the healthy grass anyways.
