  1. Hi Fionuala! So last June, while I was visiting my son in California, I made it a point of us to visit Cottage Gardens of Petaluma. I not only got to meet you but while we were there, Janey from Dig Plant Water Repeat was filming. What a thrill to meet the both of you and I even got pictures!!!! I’m loving your show today on Clematis. My son and I ended up buying a Clematis to give to my mother-in-law his grandmother. I don’t remember the name of it, but it is Cream colored with a lime green center. It is gorgeous! We put it in her pot to put in her courtyard and it is absolutely flourishing and is so beautiful! She loves being able to sit in her courtyard to view and smell the unbelievable sent! She turned 98 years old last month and still lives in her home…. Thank you for your continued inspiration and all that is beautiful 🌸🌷🪴🌸🌷🪴🌸🌷🪴🌸🌷🪴🌸🌷🪴🌸🌷

  2. This video was so informative, thank you! …Because I have 4 bare root clematis I want to put in pots and put on the patio. Which gets filtered sun. I think the bare root clematis doesn't grow in the first year? Thank you for this video. It's so helpful! 🙂

  3. Thanks for a wonderful post today a great chitchat and some great information. Always enjoy coming over and seeing what you’re sharing.

  4. Years ago I bought and
Planted a clematis for my Mother when she was in her late 80's she lived to be 95 and every year just raved over that clematis I planted for her on a trellis in her front garden in NY. They are just absolutely gorgeous in bloom!! This year I bought 4 new ones to plant on our 24-foot cattle panel on our side yard in TX in front of the side yard fence that is going to be just covered in different varieties of Clematis. I can't wait to see them all blooming together! Thanks for all your expertise and tips on how to care for them. I so enjoy your videos!!

  5. Such a great video Fionuala! Clematis are my favorite and this was very good information! 💙💚💛🧡💜 Liz

  6. Hi all this video is just what I needed I’ve been wanting to to grow a clematis for years this year Will be it way at great information love all the content thank you 🌷

  7. I love to watch your videos Fionuala! I loved my visit last year to your garden center and wished I lived closer!! My husband loves Clematis, but we are in a very HOT zone 9b in Riverside county (about 8 hours south of you). Do you have any recommendations for my area if I can give it afternoon shade on my back patio? Our house faces west and both yards get really hot in the summer except under the shade of patios or elm tree. Thank you for all you do! Blessings my friend, Karla

  8. I never considered planting a clematis in a hanging basket! Not until I watched this video and the unique raindrop hanging planter! Do you sell these and do you ship? Also concerning fertilizing in January, is this timing for your warmer 9B California climate? New subscriber from the mountains of Arizona, zone 7b. Thanks for an inspiring video!
