I have this haworthia truncata and noticed the yellow lines in the center of the circled leaf. Is this the start of a sunburn or something else? This is my first truncata and having some trouble trying to identify what's causing it.
No, it’s not your fault. Happens with truncata or maughanii often. Part of it can be genetic, but I think the plant leaves are splitting because there is no more room for the tissue to expand as it hydrates. You’ll see these markings a lot on these types.
As far as preventing it, I can’t say watering habits change it much. Just a bit of corking is what it reminds me of in fruits or other succulents.
