This petunia plant was a mother’s day present from my son in May 2023. He died Feb 2024 when he was only 4 years old. I’m proud to have kept it alive since then despite my lack of a green-thumb (this is likely all his doing).
I am looking for advice on how to keep it alive as long as possible. Thanks!

This petunia is several years old and I continually take cuttings off to make new plants as a backup plan. They root in water or soil I find.
Petunias clone very well, and ime respond very well to being cut back. Wonderful job keeping it alive all this time.
If it’s never been done, some fresh soil may be very welcome by the plant. You may also consider multiplying it through cloning.
Plant a few cuttings outside, they should flower
