Thanks for the kind words and support 😁🐕❤

  2. Beautiful place congratulations James it will be fun watching you transform it with the things you grow and the stuff that grows in the wild . I love your blueberries !

  3. I love this video, seeing the trees, wild blueberries and everything around. Continue this type of videos as well as gardening. Thank you.

  4. You could plant Red Osier Dogwood and crab apples for the deer, like Red Dolgo crab apple. Deer love acorns, and you likely have various oak tree species on your property so you can collect the acorns and grown more. You'll need to protect the saplings as deer love to eat the new leaves in spring. Once they are more mature they can survive the repeated browsing.

  5. Family in ME always tell us about the high bush blueberries around their lake property. I actually find Haskaps better tasting and a breeze to care for in my garden.
Strawberries freeze/dry out if not in the ground for us. Had a great self watering gutter system, but tired of lifting the tubs out to sink them in the ground every year.
😂😂keeping deer out😂😂. Ok if you think so. The deer have a run to the water and once they know there is a salad bar also only a fence will prevent total devastation. I have two large gardens and fencing isn’t cheap—probably over $200/100’ now. Putting up one round of fence was enough don’t want the $300 tomato😅. Yes they have poor depth perception and if inside the fence is full it may help. A nose high electric fence is about the only thing they don’t get use to because a zap to the nose is the most sensitive and they remember it. So far the 7’ wire fence does the job and no need to add electric. I’ve seen them clear an 8’ fence at a standstill.
    Enjoy!

  6. What a joy it was to see how excited you are on your new property! We live on almost 5 acres in WI. Lots of tall tall trees, and deer galore. I don't think your problem will be finding something the deer will like, but finding something that the deer will agree to let you have some of.

  7. so happy for you i have small yard like you were used to love to garden and have a little pond Vineland area.Went to whites bog for blueberry festival wild blueberries all over as well as like hundreds of varietys

  8. This property must have cost millions! Congratulations! Wow! What a nice piece of property.

  9. Blueberries and oaks are keystone species here! If you have white oaks, those are especially good and their acorns are excellent deer food! I wonder if the three trees could make a nice wooded shrine with a memory for Tuck! ❣❣❣

  10. I guess your idea of a river and mine are quite different. That, my friend, is a stream. That said, I hope you do well on your new property.

  11. I saw a video where a guy made a pond and discovered that it solved his mosquito problem in that the minnows ate the eggs up and the pond acted like a magnet. Wiped em out.

  12. I tried many different things to keep deer out. Nothing works. Finally, I built 6 feet chain-link fence with sharp wire on top. So far, they do not jump over🤞
