I was given this jade plant last fall and it seemed to be doing great, I was watering it once a week, but now this spring it’s not liking what ever is happening but it still looks like it’s growing new leaves. I live in a zone 3 and it’s in front of a large bright north facing window.

Is the soil wet? And are the stems soft? Once a week seems way too much to water a Jade, they are succulents so they like it dry. You may have root rot, It looks like root rot to me as the damage is going from the bottom up. It can’t be reversed but Jade’s are easily propagated, every single leaf can be a whole new plant. You may have to cut off the good bits and re-plant them, they will grow new roots.
Too much water, not enough sun
Once a week is way too often in 99% of cases. Check the roots, is there any root rot? Don’t water unless the top 3ish inches are dry. If it gets dry very quickly you probably need to repot.
You are drowning her. More light and only water when the soil is totally dry to the bottom of the pot. Check with a dry wooden chopsticks or your fingers
& Repot …looks overly crowded
I recommend a plastic pot. Sometimes is easier to check if the pot is dry or not. Just by feeling if it’s light. I have almost all my plants in plastic for that reason. You can then put it in a decorative pot.
How do you water it? And how much water do you use? I take mine out of the decorative pot and let it soak for 30-60 minutes in water only when the leaves are a bit bendy. It can be anywhere from 2 months to a week between waterings depending on season.
Can you take it out and check on the roots? If they’re mushy or stinky chop it all up. These things are incredibly easy to propagate so you didn’t kill it don’t worry. Also I noticed it’s a tad leggy, wherever it was it didn’t get enough light.
